I do not believe that this is Foamex memory foam but a generic substitute. The Foamex advertised should be blue in colour. Returned to Amazon without any problems.

I have one piece of advice: Do Not Buy This Product!After taking it out of its box and leaving it to air for the requisite 72 hour period, this topper never gained its proper shape. It was almost impossible to unroll, it had been packed so tightly. There were ridges two inches high at the folds that never flattened out. It appeared to have been damaged from exposure to high heat, because some parts of the topper were yellowed. Also, the edges were rolled so tightly that they were stuck together as if glued, and even after 3 days the edges started to rip at attempts to separate them. That may have been another result of high heat damage.Amazon issued a credit with no questions asked, and that is why I do so much business with this company. They stand behind the products they sell and are very customer-oriented.

I put this on my tempurpedic mattress and due to the thickness, it hurt my back. It took away the firmness I needed after two back surgeries. If you need a softer mattress, this could be for you.

For several years I've been sleeping on a wonderfully comfortable 2" temperature foam mattress topper that I ordered from QVC. It felt like sleeping on a cloud. My only complaint is that I wake up in the middle of the night sweating. So when I was replacing my mattress set, I decided to see if there were any cooler foam pads out there. I did some research and settled on the Aerus brand. When I was ordering my new mattress set, the sales manager warned me that sleeping on a new mattress that wasn't broken in yet, could be uncomfortable for the first few weeks. Well, I put my new Aerus foam topper on it, and slept like a baby the very first night. I haven't been waking up hot and sweaty at night, and am hoping this continues into the winter when I use more covers. Ironically, the winter was when my previous topper seemed to make me sweat even more. I do have to say that the Aerus isn't as dense as my other temperature foam pad, and I do prefer the more dense feel. When I'm climbing into bed to read, I feel like it's like trying to move around in sand, definitely not as easy to maneuver. But once I lay down, it's very comfortable, and I'm sleeping great. I've got the sleeping on a cloud feeling without the excessive heat. What more can you ask for!

I used this to upgrade a spare twin bed with a mattress that had seen better days. When I finally got a new mattress for the twin bed, I put the topper in my RV over some hard factory bed cushions. With all of this, it hasn't shown any wear yet. I suggest saving the original plastic packaging so you can squish it down to a compact size for storing. It is comfortable enough by itself that I could probably sleep on the floor with it, but it hasn't come to that yet.
