Fun game that is easy to learn
I picked up Overlap and was pleasantly surprised by how much fun it is. The rules were super easy to learn, so we were up and playing in just a few minutes. I love that it feels simple at first, but the strategy kicks in fast—especially when you’re trying not to overlap the colored squares. It’s a nice mix of luck and thinking ahead.It’s also really compact, so I can easily toss it in my bag for game nights or trips. I’ve played it with just two people and in a bigger group, and it works great either way. Overall, it’s a fun, quick game that’s become a go-to for casual hangouts.

Easy to Learn / Fun for everyone to play
We are obsessed with Overlap. It’s officially replaced Uno as our go-to card game. The rules are easy to learn, but the gameplay is clever and surprisingly strategic — perfect for kids and adults. It our go-to bring along game for restaurants, breweries, beaches and plane rides.

Fun Game Addition
We have had so much fun with this game! Our teen loves to play it with us. We are a big board game/card game family and this was just enough of a balance of strategy and luck to make it really enjoyable for all of us! If you are a gaming family, I would recommend adding this to your library.

Good game theory but…
Overlap is a logic game meets uni… and one that can last forever. It’s more frustrating and repetitive than challenging. I wish it had more card options or special play cards. It felt like you had to draw cards most every round which leaves everyone wondering how it will ever end. Additionally, it just looks cheaply made on a home computer. This was gifted to us, but I wouldn’t gift it to anyone else. If it gets better with time, I’ll update the review. 🤷♀️
