Disabler Compatible with V6
The media could not be loaded. In the past, whenever I started the vehicle in the morning, I was met with a faint but constant ticking sound at idle. This was a confirmation that the Active Fuel Management system was switching between V8 and V4 modes repeatedly. After installing this, my vehicle was able to settle into a smooth, constant idle, and it was no longer plagued by that bothersome rattling that interrupted my life. It was during my first week of commuting that I noticed that the modest surge-and-drop feeling that I had been used to was no longer triggered by highway merges and low-speed maneuvers. On two separate instances, I found myself speeding off of tight on-ramps, anticipating that the engine would momentarily deactivate cylinders and reduce the amount of power that was produced. However, I was pleasantly surprised by a continuous, powerful V8 push that provided the precise throttle response that I desired. As a result of this newly discovered constancy, merging into fast-moving traffic seemed less like a negotiation and more like a confident handshake between my foot and the pavement. I had already loaded my vehicle for a camping trip with my family by the end of the second week, and I was going to be pulling a lightweight trailer over curvy mountain roads. Before it kicked back into full power, I would look nervously at the tachometer, listening for the telltale cylinder-deactivation sounds. I would do this before the engine reached its maximum power output. On this occasion, the tone of the engine stayed consistent throughout the ascent, and I felt confident enough to concentrate on the breathtaking scenery that lay ahead of me rather than keeping an eye on my dashboard for any indications of vibration. The Disabler ensured that my power delivery was consistent regardless of whether I was riding downhill or crawling up steep gradients. This allowed me to focus on enjoying the ride rather than worrying about carefully adjusting the mode switches on the engine.

Effortless Elimination of Cylinder Cut-Ins for a Smooth GM Drive
The media could not be loaded. I cycled the ignition and listened within minutes of inserting the device into the diagnostic connection under the dashboard. The familiar rattling that occurred while the engine was at idle was no longer there; instead, it was replaced by the continuous, low-frequency hum that occurs when the cylinders are operating without interruption. Over the course of the subsequent few weeks, I was able to experience an exceptionally steady idle both in park and at stoplights. I did not experience the typical short pulse that occurs when Active Fuel Management re-engages. It seemed as if a weight had been removed from the engine compartment when there was an instantaneous quiet, which was a sign that the delete disabler had successfully completed its task. There was a discernible improvement in the smoothness of transitions between cruising and acceleration throughout my regular commute in the suburbs. As the system went from eight to four cylinders on light throttle in the past, I had some minor hesitance. However, following the installation, the vehicle reacted with a linear power delivery, and there was neither a dip nor a stutter as I entered the on-ramp. Since the engine maintained a steady tone and vibration level even while traveling at highway speeds, lengthy rides were far less taxing on the driver's body. I also tested the performance in climates with lower temperatures: after spending the night parked in my garage that was not heated, the first cold start showed that there was no lifter knock and no check-engine lights. This allowed me to go without having to struggle through further warm-up RPM.

Immediate changes
After using for a week, I noticed (overtime and from day 1) it's easier to speed up from zero. Can see improvement in the mpg and can tell that your truck is always using the full engine. My engine usually studders when I'm either speeding up or constantly going 80 mph, but since I plugged this in, it's gone down a lot and would consider this a good investment. It was also easy to install, just plug it in the obd port and it doesn't stick out. Just unplug if you're not going to drive for a few days so it doesn't drain the battery.

It does the job at a reasonable price. Wish I would have known sooner!
I previously used a Pulsar LT to deactivate the DOD in my 2022 Silverado 6.2. After having a few weird episodes, I decided to remove it and try this device, which is MUCH cheaper. I have ran it on my truck for several days now with no issues. Wish I would have just bought this first! Update after a couple of weeks: Works great!

Don't let it set for a week.
Works great but it will run the battery down if you let your vehicle set for a week or so.

Just what you need to disable afm on a GM
Just what was needed to disable the afm in my 2013 Yukon. Now it's stays in its intended V8 mode at all times. I drive 100 miles a day on the highway doing 70mph. to get to and from work. There was practically no difference in gas mileage change after using this and now I have way more pickup and the transmission is no longer hunting around for gears and feeling lazy.

Effortless Power Boost—No Tools, Just Plug and Drive
The media could not be loaded. Before this little plug-in, my ’15 Silverado felt like it had a split personality. One minute it’s a V8, next minute it’s sipping fuel like a Prius, and all the while the transitions were jerky enough to make you notice. I didn’t even realize how much that AFM/DFM system was affecting the ride until I disabled it.This AFM disabler took all of 30 seconds to install—literally just plug it into the OBD-II port. No tools, no tech skills, no hunting through menus or risking a voided warranty. The best part? My truck stays in V8 mode now. It actually drives like a truck again—no weird lag, no hesitation when accelerating, no more feeling like it’s “thinking” too hard before giving me power. It’s been weeks and the difference in performance is still night and day. I haven’t noticed any negative impact on fuel economy either, which was my only real hesitation. Plus, if I ever need to go back to stock, I just unplug it. That’s it.It’s rare when a product is this simple, this affordable, and actually works exactly as promised. If you drive a GM with AFM or DFM and you’re tired of your engine playing Jekyll and Hyde, this thing is worth every penny.
