I got these for my son and nephew because they sounded like a fun activity. It is exciting to slowly see the egg hatch and the dinosaur come out. These would make a fun addition to a birthday party favor bag or as a teacher they would make fun prizes for my students.

So first, please note that the eggs are very small and exactly the size of candy eggs. It says all over the box “do not swallow” so that’s just a design flaw in my opinion. Second, package does not come with any instructions so please refer to the various reviews for info so you know what to expect. Third, it takes a long time! 1-3 hours to hatch and we waited 24 hrs longer for growth but not much to speak of. Once you take out of the water, it is slimy. When it dries out some shrinking is normal so it kinda ends up being the size it was before it hatched. Where I will say that my daughter really enjoyed this, i do feel that there are many other options out there that probably have better results!

Cute concept, but unfortunately we had a few broken ones upon delivery. As the product states, the color does come off on fingers, but they claim it is not toxic, and the smell is a little strong. They take quite a while to hatch, but when they do the kids are happy.

This was super cute! Eggs were a little smaller than I expected. But they were still a major hit for our cub scout trunk or treat Jurassic World theme!!

Bought these for my kids bday party and they were a hit! All the kids were excited to get a dinosaur egg in their goodybags. They did take a little over 24hrs to hatch. They are a bit smaller than I expected them to be but still a good size for my 3, 4 and 5 yr olds. They are soft and squishy so it's a perfect sensory lil toy. If ur kid tends to put things in mouth then these might be a choking hazard. Once the dinosaur has dried a couple of days later they shrink back down to a miniature size. My kids and I loved them at the end of the day. They learned about patience and had a great time playing with them afterwards.
