If you are Handy, a tremendous bargain
Very nice guitar, and SUPER value for the money. Very well balanced and sweet tone. The guitar literally screams "cheap" but somehow, it WORKS.It arrived out of adjustment, took a couple of turns on the truss rod, and the bridge was absurdly high and needed to be trimmed down with a rotary tool. A couple of frets needed a bit of filing on the edges. But that's it. If you are handy, this is a really nice guitar for very little money.Soundwise? VERY balanced. It lacks the low end boominess of a Martin. It sounds more like a classic Yamaha, perhaps a bit more midrangey, but just a bit. Sweet and mellow tone. It lacks the volume, however, that the old Yamahas had. That is, the Glarry is plenty loud, but not a cannon. OK. The stock strings...who knows? But they are fine. I'm in no hurry to change them.I've owned a lot of guitars over 40 years of playing. One of the best bargains ever. I just showed it to my father-in-law, who has been playing for 60 years (used to be in a Weavers-style folk band back in the 1960's) and he loved it.
