For a number of years we have been using a couple of different PAYG SIMs in our MiFi when away in out caravan.And this is in addition to having PAYG SIMs in our phones of course.There are a number of obvious disadvantages with this approach.Firstly, If there's no signal on one of them we had to swap SIMS around until we get a signal. If neither of those work, we have to move a SIM from one of our phones or tether it.Secondly, we either have to pay for the extra SIMs even when we aren't using them or keep buying new ones when we need them. The disadvantage with buying them as you need them is that you lose any in bundle promotions such as double data etc.I saw an advert the other day about 'an amazing device that everyone was raving about' and decided to check it out.It came with a roaming SIM but included only 500MB and the data subscription was very expensive, so although it seemed like a good idea in that it would mean an end to SIM swapping, it wouldn't have saved us money.That got me thinking - surely roaming SIMS are available without buying a new device.A quick search on Amazon revealed the answer - yes they are - and this one fits the bill perfectly.It arrived the next day and came with really clear instruction although they weren't really needed as installation is simple and it worked in my MiFi as soon as I allowed roaming.I registered on line so that I can see my usage and top up and the company got in touch. They are very friendly and helpful.Bear in mind of course that this a DATA only SIM so if you need to make and receive phone calls, it may not be for you but if, like us, you need hassle free mobile broadband wherever you are, this might be just what you are looking for.

Received in good time and works a treat in my motorhome WiFi router, set up with minimal fuss and straight forward connection! Very happy with it.

This is a data sim. I’m using in a router in a motorhome. I previously had the speakeasy SIM on O2, but this ran out and the support guy recommended this. It is a tri band sim, meaning it searches for the best signal across 3 providers.I struggled to install this on a TP-Link modem. Real frustrated, I completed a “help form” and got a call back in minutes. My second use of support on this second SIM. Support at this level of technical knowledge, calm, patience and success. Few companies offer this level of support. I can’t rate the support high enough! Now, with 5gb loaded and a 60 day term, I can go to Lovemobiledata.com and buy more. If it runs out, it doesn’t cancel the sim if you don’t renew for a period.Using a TP-Link TL-MR6400 router.

Rubbish can't get it to work in my mifi

Went camping in France this summer, the sim worked flawlessly in both my phone and in our travel router, the kids could watch shows on their tablets no problem. Great value, the top up system works fine and it's easy to see how much you've used online.

Needed this for a new MIFI device. Support (from Ali) was excellent; I emailed a simple question about activation and got a phone call back, hand holding me through the whole process. The good thing about this SIM is that I can top up instantly if needed, and I can re-activate it on future trips to France.

Bought this in the UK for portable wifi mini use in France. Being pretty tech-dense, experienced some issues setting it up. All solved in a phone call with Customer Support, who were lucid, patient, kind - and entirely effective. Cannot recommend this service highly enough.

Sim activated straight away but not a great start using up the allowance just registering the product. Password not recognised and no link sent despite requests. We'll give it a chance but data usage readings will be a problem.
