Definitely worth SIX STARS!!
If I could, I would rate this Eggssentials poaching pan SIX STARS. It is THAT perfect for me! The designer of this poacher is a genius and must have spent a very long time poaching eggs the frustrating way to come up with this. When it came, I was surprised how substantial it was---high quality stainless steel. It works so perfectly and simply. I spray just a quick shot of coconut oil, crack my 2 eggs and drop them in, then salt the tops, put the lid on and set my timer. Wah-lah! Six minutes later my eggs literally slide out of their little nests onto my plate. Then I usually go ahead and make 2 extra poached eggs to put in the fridge---I don't even have to spray oil again. I am so dang happy to not be hassling with messy egg poaching or fighting a losing battle peeling hard boiled eggs that never come out without at least some loss of egg white. The Eggssentials Poacher produces two magically PERFECT poached eggs EVERY single time without any loss of egg, which is important because I buy the expensive organic free range eggs. I found this just in time because I was about to blow my doctor's orders to the wind due to frustration---she says to only eat hard boiled or poached eggs because scrambling and frying eggs damages the nutrition somehow.

The ens result is perfect poached eggs!
Its hard to find a two egg poached egg pan and I've been looking to replace the one I'd had for many years. This pan is exactly what I was looking for and I love it! It cooks the eggs perfectly (secret to hard whites and runny yolks is to pull it off the heat when whites are almost cooked and yolks are beginning to get a film over them) and I'm back to my go-to when I don't really want to cook! Other pans I've looked or tried have shallow egg plans that cook the eggs to fast and hard. These are perfect!

Wouldn't recommend
I'm very disappointed with this egg poacher. The quality is very good but the egg cup knobs are extremely difficult to grab a hold of when putting back in the pan to cook the egg and often spill. Also, hard to remove from the pan when done without burning yourself. The knobs are too small and at the wrong angle. I had my other egg poaching pan for years but replaced it with this one because the old pan was aluminum. Now I wish that I kept it!

I like it but I hate the way the SS looks after using 1 time.
Used for the 1st time this am. Used 1 squirt of oil in 1 poacher and 0 in the other. Hmmm, had to help poached eggs out of both. Inside of SS pan is now rainbow colored. I guess the water and heat discolored it. SS is no longer what it was years ago when it first came on the market. Any SS kitchenware I purchase these days discolors and rusts in pit spots. Okay it is well-made and sturdy even though the material it is made of isn't.

Traditional egg poaching at is best
Aperfect "on the stove traditional egg poacher for 2 eggs". The eggs do not stick in the cup even without any "spray". The holding knob on the egg cup is a usable tool for preventing steam burn and removing the cups. The metal, glass, and overall material quality is first class and works fine on my induction oven top.

Works great!
Very well constructed, durable, and easy to clean. Nice size pan for even cooking, and water comes to a boil quickly. Takes a little practice to get the proper heat and timing for the desired result.

I love this egg poacher
I love this egg poacher!! It does a great job of perfectly poaching eggs, is of very high quality, and cleans up quite well! One major caveat, however — Large eggs completely fill the egg cups. If you like Extra Large or Jumbo eggs, they will overflow the egg cups. I only use Large eggs, so this is not an issue for me. I’m thrilled with this purchase!
