I needed a simple time clock for our shop. This was not too difficult to set up, but the instructions were a bit too brief, so you will just have to spend some time working with it at first. The facial recognition seems to work every time. It even works on the same face with or without glasses (that was a concern of mine since sometimes employees will have safety glasses on and sometimes not), but that was not an problem for this device. The fingerprint recognition was not that good - we are not going to be using that function. You can also assign an ID/passcode for each employee in case the facial recognition does not work for an employee.So far, so good.

BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this MIKONIYA-Time Clock with 500 Faces-1500 Fingerprints-16G USB Drive-FA02.2. The current price of ~$70 is reasonable.LIKES:- Comprehensive.- Facial recognition in addition to finger prints.- Has potential if you are technically inclined and willing to invest the time and effort.DISLIKES:- None really. Was using for tracking shifts, but have stopped due to changing employee situation.

I though i would be willing to use the spreadsheet and USB transfer of data but the weekly headache is not worth it. I decided to code my own mobile app with verification just to have the data automatically stored. I wish there was a wireless version of this. The face scanner and finger print do work well however actually retrieving the data is not worth it

What originally attracted me to this time system is that it eliminates the issue of an employee having a friend punch him/her in/out when he/she is late or wants to leave early. Unfortunately, this has become an issue in our shop. Having them use their fingerprint to punch in and out is the most sure way, other than expensive eye recognition systems. This is also a good system because you can use it separately from a network to run reports, etc. Of course, the cost is also very attractive, and the other functions add extra value.

My advice is to pay more and get a better product. This is very poorly designed and the limited instructions included are of no help, not even accurate! I'll resolve this with Amazon

This was a little difficult to set up and the instructions are not very good. However, this has made things a lot easier having everybody punch in and out instead of using paper time cards. So far we've had no problems with the function and the face recognition works even when the guys have their hats on.

Both the face reader and fingerprint reader often do not work. It seems very sensitive.The log print out could be more detailed as it just shows a log of who scanned. But not a clock in/clock out nor does it calculate.

We picked this up for a different use. We will be making this time clock the access to our gun closet. Has a port on the side to add your own key and so when the process is complete, it will unlock a lock if you know what you’re doing. Decently made, it also has the options for hardwiring.
