Bought for our 8yo whippet with arthritis. We wanted something high above floor but not too high so she can easily get in even on a bad day.Bed must be comfortable as she sleeps there most of the time and picks it over sofa or her old bed.Good quality, although fabric is quite thin, andIt looks good.We've bought bigger size as we wanted her to be able to fully stretch and it's perfect.I will buy another one to swap her old bed in the bedroom.It looks a bit untidy on the photos because we've put her blanket on top:)

Well, he loves it. Absolutely loves it. He's been in it ever since it was delivered this morning, hours ago! He is a pretty big Lab, bigger than most, yet there is ample space for him to sprawl out, which is why we bought it. His other bed was one of those oval-shaped plastic beds with inset cushions, which allows no room for sprawling. A few weeks ago he stopped going up stairs, jumping onto 'his' sofa, and our bed. (:D) He's only nine years old but already has arthritis, as most Labs are prone to as they age. This bed, though, gives him the space and support to sleep comfortably, whichever position best suits him. Curled up, sprawled out, upside down! And the back section surrounding the top gives his back support too, plus keeps him warm (stops the draughts!) Day one and one happy pup. Fingers crossed it lasts. So far, so brilliant. Could not be happier. Money well spent.UPDATE It is now 2019, three years after we bought this bed and it is still going strong. The cover is removable and been washed countless times, and looks brand new, still. The bed has not lost its shape, down to the memory foam. It's like brand new, still. Our Lab has slept in it for three years, every day. We cart it round the house for him, upstairs and down, which is easy to do as it's super lightweight. (I can drag it along behind me with one hand.) The fleece underlay can be removed for when it is hotter, and put back on when it's colder. This we do accordingly to the weather, giving our dog extra coolness or warmth when he needs it. Seriously, if you're looking to buy your large dog (or two small dogs who like sharing), this bed will last them their lifetime. I just came on here to find the link for a friend who saw our dog's bed and wanted to purchase one themselves. Thought I'd write an update as long as I was here.

This is the first bed my dog has actually preferred to the sofa! He has arthritic joints now and has started to struggle getting up and down on the furniture. This bed is far enough of the ground to keep the draught of him and not to high for him to get on himself. It is made from good quality material and looks very stylish in my front room. The base is much firmer than I was expecting which is great because it helps his balance as he gets on and off the bed. It has a lovely detachable blanket on top of the base which can easily be washed. I have a Larger than average Springer Spaniel so chose the 115 cm bed, he can curl up happily and also have a good stretch on it too if he wants. It must be very comfortable as he chooses to stay on this bed rather than the constantly moving around the living room furniture looking for a good spot, as he has been doing. I am so glad I bought this bed and would highly recommend it without hesitation. The bed took 5 days to arrive but it was well worth the wait.

Excellent value and I did a LOT of research. I was intending to buy a bed worth £350.00 but I just couldn't justify the cost even for my beloved dog.So exceptionally happy with this one it's so comfy and excellent for my older dog.

I felt this bed was too firm. My dogs prefer laying on reflex foam, so I gave the bed away to a family member whose dogs love sitting on it during the daytime, although they too have a nice comfy reflex foam bed for the night. Looks good. Well made. Easy to take the covers off to wash. I replaced the white top part of the bed with a brown cover as it keeps cleaner looking, but thats just my preference. The bed does stay in shape and I hope more are made with a choice of comfort for the younger dogs who don't need orthopaedic. (Delivery was very fast)

Zip broke on first day, poor quality - going back or going in the bin

Over the top price took covers off to wash and the fraying now makes it hard to zip backup have had to cut loads of frayed fabric around zip

Our female GSD (with hip & arthritis) initially wouldn't go in the bed but once she did (after my partner lay in it!) she loves it. The sides keep out draughts but are soft enough for Luna to lie over them and hang off the sides (why do dogs like lying half off their beds???). The bed is high enough for her to be off the floor but she still stands up in it to move off so that it doesn't help in that respect. The removable white fleecy cover doesn't really stay in place although it does have velcro strips. I've just put a Vet fleece bed mat on top. The brown material does show water mark (dog dribble) but it's not a big thing, she sleeps well, it's cushioned and good value. We realise they don't last for ever but apprx 6months in we're still happy with it ... and so is she!
