An Excelent Sequal!
Though not on the grand scale that Black Aria 1 was, as to be expected given what it is about, this Album certainly does not disappoint. As opposed to Satan and the millions of Angels he lead into Battle and the eventual decent into Hell, this piece is about a Single person, Lillith, the first wife of Adam, and how she would not submit to Adam. One should listen to this album the say way that Black Aria 1 should be listened, in the dark, from start to finish without interruption. This is certainly a worth follow up, however if one goes into this album expecting another Black Aria 1 then you will be left down. This is NOT Black Aria 1, it is Black Aria 2 and when being judged by the listener's ear should be free of any expectations or standards that are held for the 1st Black Aria. Again, this will not disappoint, as long as the listener understands that this is Black Aria 2 and not a remake of Black Aria 1. In short, this is a very good album.

Think Music
This isnt a punk or metal album, u want metal, DONT GET THIS. But for those who have an open mind about music, let this take you to places youve never been before. This music is better listened to by yourself, in the dark (maybe a few candales), and in complete silence. If oyu like music that has rue power, and ascpects not normally heard on new music album, this is a must have.

UNLISTENABLE! Where's The Surf Guitar?!!!
First, this is NOTHING like Black Aria 1. Not even close. What this sounds like is nothing more than chants ans moans for some satanic ritual. You can't even tap your foot to this garbage!!! There'no real songs here to speak of...just chants and keyboards and moaning. For those Danzig fans out there thinking about buying this, DON'T. You'll listen to it once, then never again. This I promise you.AND, to top it all off, there's not a single note of surf guitar ANYWHERE on this album!AVOID!!!

Should Not Have Been Called "BLACK ARIA II"
BLACK ARIA II is a good album. I think that by calling it "BAII", Glenn automatically pre-set people's opinions and reactions about this album. To clarify, the fact that BLACK ARIA itself was a classical album in the vein of Wagner, I think that that was what people were expecting. What Glenn has delivered is something that is much more akin to a horror movie soundtrack (THE OMEN is a fave of his, after all) or, perhaps more specifically, a minimalist-type musicality (like Philip Glass, for example). It took me a few listens to truly appreciate the strength of the music he has created here. I think it is all-too easy to just dismiss it or criticize it outright. The fact that the majority of the album revolves around the same musical motif or theme is not a weakness. Just a stylistic choice that serves to enhance the theme/story that Danzig wishes to convey. As to the cover art -- Bill Sienkiewicz is a truly talented, gifted artist. Any criticism of his artistry is a reflection of a narrow view. I like Simon Bisley, but I think Bill's cover for BAII is much more potent and chilling than the SATANS CHILD (sic) cover. But that is just my opinion. They are both fine artists, each with individual styles and strengths.
