The first image is the original 1966 to 1970's version. The second image you can see logos were added during the mid 1970’s to the 1990's (pair is quite worn but shows change) and are what I wore starting in 1980, as a freshmen in high school. I relied on my older sister to dress me because I was changing schools to her town and was coming from Tahoe, so I was not quite going to fit in in the valley as a Freshman in Highschool. These were cool, popular, and because they resembled a ski boot (apparently how they were designed, fun fact) I loved them. The third picture is what I have worn ever since. I have literally only worn these as everyday shoes since. So quite a few pairs and maybe a minimum 10 pairs from Amazon. Amazon only has a few sizes left of the 'original' design in white and the later version black that pop up every now and again. The "Men's Classic VN" I'm reviewing is really only different in the height of the back of the shoe, the softness of the leather (no horrible blister week long break-in period) but they indeed don't last as long with the exception of the sole. Some have described the color fading or rubbing off sooner and I would agree, but hey, they are all I can find and I'm satisfied with the look and feel. They are close enough and if I have to buy a pair sooner than later due to wear? Well I'm 51 and no longer a struggling student, lol. Believe me I have looked and until a better version comes out, these are great. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

I read the reviews that these K Swiss fit small and tight. I wear size 12 athletic and hiking shoes, but need 12-1/2 in Adidas Stan Smiths. I ordered a size 13 in this shoe and found that they are way too wide with a high instep. I wore K Swiss in the 70's and 80's without a problem -- snug but easily broken in for total comfort. I mistakenly walked 2.5 miles in them so cannot return them. My friend wears size 13 wide so he's taking them. K Swiss no longer fits me. I bought a pair of the new Adidas Stan Smith Traditions in size 12-1/2 and find them to be the perfect fit just like the older model Stan Smiths. I love the K Swiss but their sizing has changed.

I can't speak to the fit exactly as I buy a size up and add my own Energel insert that I swear by (they probably run a little tight)... but it's a solid shoe for all the walking I do. I like it because it has a solid sole. I've tended to bruise my feet with softer-soled shoes in the past. Only problem with these more recently was a "squeak" of the tongue (whatever material it is) as it rubs against the inner top of the shoe. You couldn't sneak up on the dead. Fed up - a week ago I just put some Aveeno lotion atop the tongue and so far it's solved it perfectly without any added applications. A cheap and easy workaround that let's me now walk quietly past sleeping babies without a problem.

Lovely pair of shoes, they fit as expected and are comfy. Black on black with a white rimmed-sole looks fairly stylish, goes perfectly well with most clothing combos.Initially I found the sole rather thick for driving, but you soon become accustomed to it... and let's face it, a thick sole is a sign of decent quality. When walking they feel perfect. I don't find they're stiff around the ankles and I've not experienced any unpleasant rubbing.The only reason I've bumped off a star is, even after wearing them in for a good month they squeak constantly. It's not all that noticeable during the hustle and bustle of the day, but walking around a quiet office or house - or even out early morning/late night when it's quiet - it can get on your nerves and if you're easily embarrassed it could annoy you a fair bit.I'm not sure yet whether that's reason enough for me not the buy the white on white pair. For the price and the quality it's hard to find fault. If the squeaking stops eventually, I will definitely buy another pair.

Love these shoes! Even thoughThey're men's shoes I put sparkly blue laces on them and they look amazing! Super comfy foam in the footed I find them super cute and comfy!😁 men's 7.5 fits a women's 9!

Nice pair of trainers for great price. At under £20 this beats anything on the high street. They may look a little odd at first with the contrasting sole trim but the fit is spot on and they feel fine. I usually judge a pair of shoes by whether I can feel the ground through the soles it not - these I cannot feel the ground so rate highly with me for comfort. There are too many shoes these days that feel like you may as well be walking bare foot but these are not them. Four stars based on comfort and price, let down slightly by plain design.
