Fun, engaging and portable!
I bought this small light-up busy board for my 2 year old, and it has been a huge hit! The variety of switches, buttons, and lights keeps him entertained for hours. It’s the perfect size to take on car rides, and it keeps him engaged the entire time. The different types of switches provide a nice challenge, and it’s great for developing fine motor skills. I love that it's durable and compact, yet packed with fun. My kid hasn’t stopped playing with it since we got it. Highly recommend for any parent looking for an engaging and portable toy!My only complaint is that there isn't a "kill-switch." If you want to preserve the batteries, you have to turn off each individual switch rather than one switch that would override them all. Not at all a deal breaker, but it would be nice.

Pick this one!
After having a few kids and having similar switch boards over the years… this is by far the best one. Its the variety of switches, the key and tiny little mirror that makes this the one you want! Can’t beat the price. Great quality! Perfect size to bring anywhere, keeps my little busy at sporting events (even his big brother asks for a turn to play with it) great for toddlers and big kid approved!

Keeps them busy!
Ordered this for our grandkids who are one and four. They both are curious about how things work and love to flip switches and press buttons. They love this busy board! it's been great watching them grow and understand more and more what each button and switch does and how they work. This is a great toy that provides the toddler an opportunity to practice fine motor skills and strengthen the muscles in his fingers with a real world application. We haven’t had any issues with the toy. Great travel toy because it is smaller than it looks. It is a great cause and effect toy and teaches little ones practical skills. It is made and performs very well and the colors on the lights are very vibrant. You can tell it is durable enough to withstand kids throwing it around. Highly recommend!

We love it!
We’ve had this toy for a little bit, and it keeps my little so busy! They are interested in all the lights coming on and enjoy being able to play with the switches. It’s the perfect size for on the go play, and it’s definitely worth the money. I do wish it had an off switch!

No off switch
Wonderful toy for my 2 year old. I like that there are so many different switches and lights. The batteries seems to last. I don't like that there is not a master switch so when they are finished you have to shut off each activity.

love it
This control board toy is fantastic! The build quality is excellent, with sturdy buttons and switches that are satisfying to press. The design is both engaging and educational, making it a perfect tool for young engineers. My child loves experimenting with all the different controls, and it's been a great way to introduce them to basic electronics. Highly recommended for any curious kid!

Toddler and Picky Dad Approved
The device works fully. The wood is smooth and lightweight. The switches and knobs are not difficult to use. The dimensions are great for small hands. It's a great item for: cause and effect and fine motor skills. The item has been dropped and does well.We have another "busy board" from another brand and the items on it are hard to use or make sharp noises (and it's heavy). This one is excellent. My husband, who hates flashy toys (most toys today) actually really likes this one. Bonus points! Haha. My toddler loves it too.

More than flashing lights
I ordered this Montessori Toddler Busy Board for when our grandchildren come over to visit. My wife wonders how long this will entertain and keep a child happy. My wife and I are two different types of learners, and our differences are as complementary as they can sometimes be frustrating.I read the reviews with interest because most seem to talk about how they want this busy board to keep the child interested (happy vs. bored), and some have wondered why this is advertised as a Montessori toy.The basic concept behind the Montessori method is to guide the child towards independent learning that includes self-motivated and self-directed learning.I am a lifelong independent learner, and I did not start well. My dad died when I was young, and my siblings were much older and getting married. I grew up curious about electronics, but my mom did not know how to help me. When would take something apart and was unable to put it back together, I was called a destructive child. These days, parents blame companies for making shoddy and unsafe products. But that was how I tried to learn in the absence of guidance, and my attempts to learn remained unguided until I started taking tech courses in High School and Computer Programming in College. I earned a decent living until retirement from that learning style. This busy board offers the opportunity for independent discovery and learning about cause and effect. Guided learning could teach the child the basic principles of electronics. This is the type of toy that would cause me to ask: How does this work? How can I make this? How can I take this idea and build it into something else? And when it breaks, I wonder why it broke, and I find out what is broken, and can I fix it? The principles and questions from childhood could reemerge later in life, especially if they become interested in engineering or technology.I see the products potential to be more than a toy for entertainment.

Excellent Attention Grabber for my Niece
My toddler niece is obsessed with buttons and switches and anything that lights up. We’ve had other busy boards before (the felt kind with zippers, etc) but she quickly got bored of them and I found them really difficult to clean since they had a million pieces and also couldn’t really get wiped down properly. This little switchboard held her attention for an impressive amount of time. I thought at 3 years old, she might have aged out of it but when she ran off with one from my friend’s daughter (who is a year and a half younger), I thought I’d get her one too. This is a great toy for on the go because it’s small and light enough to be portable and doesn’t need to be plugged into anything to work. Younger babies love the cause and effect and older kids like my niece use it for imaginative play. So far the switchboard has been a train dashboard, a magic book, a white noise machine for putting her bunny to sleep and a computer. I like that it doesn’t make a ton of obnoxious noises and can be easily sanitized as necessary. It seems pretty durable after a few inevitable drops on the floor as well.I appreciate that the colors are gender-neutral (and match a lot of her other “Montessori” type toys). This is becoming a favourite for my niece and I bet it will be a handmedown for her little sister soon enough. It’s so hard to keep kids off iPads and screens these days that I’m glad I discovered these little switchboards as an alternative.

Excellent, Quiet Busy Board!
What a terrific small, compact "toy" for younger kids. And I say "toy" because it seems like that one word simply does not describe it well enough! The first great point about this Busy Board is that it can be anything you want. It can just be a Busy Board with lots of different switches and lights that can be turned on and off. Or, it could be the main control panel of a tugboat at sea. Perhaps the control panel of a space ship! The point is that without specific labels, the kids can makeup their own uses for the board. I love that idea - using their imagination!I must admit I really enjoy the fact that it's a quiet Busy Board. None of us - kids and adults - need pounding rhythms and drums all the time. It's nice to have an activity going on, where the volume is low!Engaging different switches and lights. This Busy Board has at least one switch that I have in my truck! I like the changing colours of one LED, and the marquee tracing lights on another. And then there are two keys locks! It is just an amazing number of cool stuff that lights up!The size is big enough for play at home, but it's a great size too, for travel. I would have no concern at all, with my child playing with this unit in the back seat.It takes a couple of AAA batteries, which some adults might fine odd. But I like this. By using off the shelve AAA batteries, you can have a near endless supply of batteries at the ready, so the unit is always good to go. If you have a rechargeable battery system inside, there would be times a child want to play with it, but can't. If you really want to use rechargeable batteries, just get a four pack of AAA batteries and have at it!Bottom Line - A wonderful Busy Board! Brilliant in its simplicity! A unique item at an excellent price!
