Can I use it without the filter screen? I love this fountain and my cat does too, it’s amazing, but i noticed rust on the stainless steel filter screen and can’t seem to find a replacement, can I use it without it?

They fit and work great

The filters seem to be ok, the other inserts are too thin and the small insert for the base are not the right size at all and much smaller than it should be. The 4 pack filters and inserts which I’ve purchased before were much better

I purchased the stainless steel water fountain from this seller, which has been excellent, and it came with a filter (pictured left). all 8 filters in the replacement pack (pictured right) are only filled a fraction of the amount of the original.Extremely disappointed in the inconsistent quality. I wrote the seller an email and will update my review if I hear back. Otherwise, I don’t recommend this product unless you want to have to replace the filters 2-3x as often.

The filters start turning a reddish pink color after being used for a week or two, which for me seems a bit concerning. It is easy to use though and works well with product. Still a bit unclear why the sponge part needs to be replaced weekly versus just monthly with the filter.
