Very nice pin.
The pin is very nice. I put mineral oil on it and let soak in over night. The pattern transfers nicely on my clay.

Beautiful!
Very beautiful and well made. It smells amazing - like a toasty pine forest. It works great. Just dust your cookie dough liberally with flour or powdered sugar. It also helps if you chill the dough beforehand. To maintain the pattern, pop your cookies into the freezer for ten minutes before baking. Cleans easily - use a dish brush and go over it gently. Overall great product!

Embossed rolling pin
This makes my sugar cookies look so pretty. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Make sure you oil it before final roll.

Optical illusion
I use this for slab building in pottery. There was one at my studio, but it got legs and walked away. The photograph advertising this product shows what looks like to yellow silicone molds as if it comes with this roller. That is a trick. The roller works well, but those two silicone molds don't come with it although it would be nice if they did. So, I deducted a star for that. I almost deducted two stars, but I really like this roller. Obviously, the optical illusion was the silicone molds. The rolling pin and the loose on the spindle but that's better than being too tight. The handles on the spindle are sanded and smooth.

Very happy with this birch trees rolling pin from Algis Crafts!
I use the rolling pin for slab clay works. I like the effect and texture of the birch trees on the clay. I am very pleased with this rolling pin.

Everyone loved this pattern
Made several salt dough cookie cutter ornaments over December using this as a background pattern. Bought 4 different rollers and this was the favorite! Adults and kids loved it and found it easy to use. Clean clear pattern every time.

Beautiful deep design. If making cookies, one needs to fussy roll.
I like that the design is deep etched. I think they use laser cutters for this. A couple of small pieces of the pattern have chipped off, since it is wood but with no real affect on the design. It needs to be packaged in a tube where the ends come out and there is a hole for the handles to stick out to support the decorative area of the rolling pin and protect the design. I jury-rigged a container that held chocolates for this purpose to protect the pattern. With smaller bakes products like cookies, one needs to use the more highly patterned end and “fussy-roll” (Quilters will get the reference.). For large pie crust tops, the large design is perfect and can serve as a background for other pie-oriented embellishments using other shapes of cookie cutters.I gave a lower rating of 4, because I think the product I was sent had been previously used. I saw what looked like flour remains in some areas of the pattern…I gave it a good quick soap wash without submerging it and wetting the wood in a way that would harm the item and after my first use of the product, I noticed the same residue. Not happy about that at all!!!!These rolling pins should be a no return item. I buy/make/use gluten free products due to an allergy (Wheat makes me itchy.). Others who have been diagnose as Celiac cannot have items sent to them that have been used with wheat, rye or barley. The gluten gets into the pores of the wood and can cause health issues with Celiac patients depending on how sensitive they are. Perhaps there needs to be a drop down menu to note these issues on the order so that a person is not sent something that has been returned after unknown use or may have been tested by the manufacturer with regular flour before sending.
