Great entry level book
Very well written. Easy to understand, good resources and links to items for anyone looking to dive deeper or get a high lever of understanding regarding pentesting, intro to hacking, and cybersecurity. Purchased this for additional pentesting reading material, and enjoyed the easy read. Good for entry level or refresher for anyone.

Helps you learn many dangers of the internet in order to keep you safe from hackers
I bought this book not only for myself, but for my parents who while knowledgeable of the internet and how to navigate it, are not necessarily the most Savvy as far as protecting themselves. After my mom posted a couple of things on a social network that I knew were definitely going to get her hacked, I started searching out ways for her to gain some knowledge to protect her self and my father. While my parents are not the most tech-savvy, they're also not ignorant to the dangers around them. They are in there 60s, so relatively young, but I felt like they could some brush up on their knowledge. This book was incredibly helpful as laying out information for them to help keep them safe guarded. I'm recommending this book not only to their friends, but to my siblings and friends as well. So much great information!

Too simple for an already informed engineer
This book gets is so slow getting to something useful Probably not the best book for me as an former IT professional who already knows the technical issues.... I most interested in using the Kali tools effectively as a white hat.

Protecting myself from Hackers book.
I'm learning a lot from this book. I am having troubles finding the time to read it, but I am learning a lot when I do. Thank you. I have a very hard time with needing to get my PC checked for viruses and malware, and I hope this will help me to prevent me from needing to take my PC to have it checked for viruses.

You Can Find Better
I would recommend looking elsewhere. This book contained a lot of beginner level information in the first few chapters. There was some good information in the middle but the end of the book seemed like a commercial for Linux with some completely slanted information the author tried to present as “fact”. The section on Linux didn’t seem to fit at all. The book is definitely not for an experienced IT security practitioner. It is more targeted to beginners but, even then, there are better options out there on the topics of hacking or penetration testing.
