Good protection at a low price
After replacing a cracked screen on my son's iPad mini, I decided that a rugged case like this would be best to reduce the chance of any further mishaps. The price of the case was pretty impressive compared to its more famous rivals. I do have a similar Griffin-branded case on an iPod and there is a noticeable difference in quality between the two, but overall, I would prefer the vast cost-saving over the slightly better build quality, at nearly four times the price. On the plus side, this looks great. My son loves the blue and black colours, and it makes the iPad look more rugged (if somewhat chunky) without looking childish. The iPad genuinely feels protected on all sides and the cushioned effect convinces me that it would withstand the occasional knock or drop. All of the buttons, cameras, and ports are protected by various flaps but they are all accessible. My only criticism is the flap for the Lightning charger port is very loose and doesn't 'click' into place like the other flaps. It doesn't get in the way too much, but reflects the slightly cheaper quality in the production. Definitely not a deal-breaker though.I'm not a fan of cheap screen protectors, but apart from needing the occasional clean inside and out, the screen guard seems to be a good feature and doesn't seem to affect the touchscreen sensitivity or appearance of the screen. However, my benchmark is a nine-year old that wants to play Minecraft and watch YouTube, so someone using this for photography or fine art may disagree with me on the screen protector front. The front panel does seem to pop off its connectors a little too easily at the bottom edge, but it has never fallen off completely as the clips at the top and sides seem much firmer. The stand is a neat little add-on and is very easy to remove but it only seems to work for me in the horizontal orientation. The whole thing just collapses when I try to stand it vertically.Overall, this is good protection for your iPad mini in the sub-£10 price range. The build quality may improve in the more expensive brands, but I'm not convinced that the level of protection is vastly different between the two levels. I would buy this again and recommend it to others.

Good value for your money
This is the second Pepkoo case I own, having recently switched from an iPad 2 to an iPad mini 3. The previous case has stood the test of time, so I decided to get another one. It's one third the price of a Griffin and for that it is quite good. It's a little less snug than the larger one, with the frame coming off just a tad too easily on the home button side, but other than that it's fine for day-to-day usage. Rain & Dust are sufficiently repelled and the structured back and the rubber make for a secure grip. With the padded corners you don't have to worry too much chucking it into the boot or accidentally dropping it. The covers for the rear camera and the headphone port fit quite well and so do the covers for the connector port and rotational switch. Just bear in mind that you won't be able to use the fingerprint scanner (don't think the Griffin would do either).

You get what you pay for
It's £7 for an all over case. So expect it to be nothing more than what you expect £7 will get you (baring in mind you're covering a product circa £350 at retail. It's cheap, it's flimsy and it's perfect for my 3 year old to bash about. No idea if it's durable long term as only had it a couple of week. But it is really cheap and cheerful. Just remember that when buying. It's doing a job so far so can't complain...

Excellent case
Bought 2 of these cases for my 5 & 3 yr olds iPads they were getting for their Christmas, I was originally going to buy the Griffin Survivors @ around £40 each as I wanted to make sure they were properly protected so didn't want the standard leather flip cases, when looking I came across these which are practically identical in design but I found these to be nicer looking with nicer colours and design, after reading the reviews I decided to order them & I'm soooo glad I did as I saved myself alot of money as I got them both for just over £30!! They are lovely cases & the colours really pop also they'r very good quality already they have been dropped and iPads have not been affected and so easy to take a wipe over the screen at the end of the day to remove all the smudges from grubby little fingers & I don't have to worry about the screens being scratched! I love them so much Iv ordered another 2 in different colours for the older kids to replace their leather flip covers and everyone will be able to tell at a glance who the iPad belongs to. Also the kids really like the stand on the back means they can sit @ the table or lie on the floor and watch a programme without having to hold or prop it up.

Great value for money!
For £7 you can't go wrong. Its a great case and will protect against basic bumps, scrapes and scratches. Wrong colour arrived (we got red / black) but to be fair looks better than the blue one so happy with their error. Better than I expected for £7 delivered. If I had to find a negative the screen protector has a brown tint (obviously cheap plastic) so discolours the screen and will show all the scratches. This is fine for the kids but as an adult it would not work for me. Ultimately its a great value product to protect an expensive bit of kit!

Finicky but really cool!
I was a little uncertain of this ipad mini case when I first opened it. My son had previously had a heavy duty case for his ipad 2, which after 2 years of battery still looked perfect once removed from its decimated case. This one, however seemed quite light flimsy and the plastic screen protector was easily unstuck from the frame. But I put it to one side until the ipad mini arrived. it was quite tricky to get all the sides on correctly. I found you had to do the top first, then the sides, and finally the bottom. Once everything was clicked properly into place i was very happy. The ipad mini is well protected from drops and scratches. I really like the little kick stand and the back its very easy to put on or take off, its just a pity that it only works in landscape mode. working in portrait (i can see why it can't/doesn't) but that would be pretty cool. Overall it keeps the ipad mini light and portable, although does add a bit of bulk (expected tho.) and still looks cool enough for a 6 year old!
