Cymlok QCN8 Quick-set Cymbal Nut, Black

A bit fiddly to use which seems to defat it's primary purpose. Sometimes has a tendency to pop off if the cymbal is hit hard. The ergonomics are slightly odd as sometimes it needs to be used upside down in order to get a good grip and in these situations, the shape feels wrong. Actually makes sharing stands with other drummers a bit of a pain as it causes confusion due to its completely un-wingnut like operation. A great idea, but the design needs some refinement.

At first these wouldnt stay on properly, however I realised the plastic sleeve which my cymbals sit on was too high & not giving enough of the metal thread for the nut to clip on, all I did was take 1/2" off the plastic thread & the nut tightened up solid

Excellent product and service

I play in a heavily touring hardore band (average 100+ shows a year) and these save so much time when setting up/breaking down. I've been using them for just over a year and they've survived 4 tours lasting 2-3 weeks and I've only had to replace 1 nut (because I stepped on it by accident!!). I would recommend these to every drummer, no matter what level you play at, well worth the money :)

dont buy they just dont work

I ordered this item which came no trouble and packaged well. They are so handy to have and save so much time. They could be a bit more sturdy however as they can break easily and one of mine did pop off while i was playing, but overall they are such handy accessories which i really recommend buying for when you just cant be asked to take up years of your life twizzling round the threaded nuts.

This is a nice idea but.....if you are a hard hitter then you must be careful as these will just fly off.

Saves loads of time and they don't look too bad (which I thought might be an issue). Well made, great idea, useful, etc ....... :)
