Genuine darco
Other reviews complaining about lack of splint. Admittedly the name of product the gives the wrong impression. It works by the tension of the velcro/elastic. Fairy comfortable, cheaper than other sellers(who I bought from last week as the photos of product were better). They come in single packs, I needed 2.

The jury is still out
To be honest, I'm still not sure about this. To get [what feels like] the right amount of tension, the strap around the big toe is pulled back and not very comfortable. I don't know whether I'm pulling too tightly because the instructions don't make it clear. It isn't easing the pain as much as some of the splints I've worn do either. Time will tell whether it makes a difference.

Excellent service and affordable price
I was happy to buy this splints for my foot condition,as spare items. I was provided with one by the foot specialist and I need to wear it every day. The price is affordable,as well.I am happy with the service over all.I will recomend it for sure.

too big to fit inside any shoes and needed a lot of adapting to stay in place comfortably
I have bought a couple of these as my surgeon insists I wear them for three months following bunion removal. The wrap around strap is far too big and is very difficult to get it tight enough to stay in place without it digging in and causing the flesh in front of it to swell up. I have bought several pairs of the widest fitting soft comfy trainers I can find and still they don't fit comfortably over it! I have cut off the velcro on the big toe strap and have sewed it closed as otherwise the velcro unrolls when you put your shoe on and the added bulk is very painful and tends to push your big toe over when wearing shoes and totally defeats the whole object of the thing. I have also sewed a little soft fabric to the inside of the strap between the big toe and the foot band as it was so rough it was rubbing the skin off my bunion op scar and I also had to sew the heel strap onto the foot band to keep it in place as the velcro on it is total rubbish and does not last 5 minutes.
