I bought this book because the drawings are stunning, kids love animals, and it's a lot of fun to find the animals with them.It's like a game in a book where you have to find the zebras, or 5 lions. So it's the perfect kids book.

Gorgeous book with fun facts on each page. My husband bought it because it reminded him of an animal atlas he loved as a child. We bought it for our 1.5 year old so it’s a bit advanced for her still, even with daddy’s help.

Awesome book, cute pictures! Kids like it! I just wish that there were more useful text for kids. Words "the most dangerous snake" - does not explain much, it just causes questions which parent cannot answer. Why is it dangerous? Is it venomous? Or is it fast, aggressive, strong, etc.?

This is one of my son's (age 7) favorite books, and one of mine. The book is beautifully illustrated and introduces children to a large selection of animals, all depicted in their native habitat. My son enjoys locating all the animals described. Because it is a 'find and seek' book, this is a great option for occasions where you have to wait or travel. My son likes to read it with an adult but the book is simple enough he can read it on his own. He also likes reading it to younger kids, and I have seen children as young as 2 enjoy it. He thinks it is funny that I don't know all the animals and we have had fun looking the ones we don't know up online together (viscachas, slime spraying velvet worms and dwarf flying squirrels among them). I highly recommend this book - it is beautifully and thoughtfully done, with lots of interesting information and good for a wide age range.
