I've purchased many remotes over the years. Some OEM, some generic. I've developed a good eye for spotting the differences between the two. This one may be branded as a Yamaha, but I'm not convinced it's a genuine Yamaha remote. It has that cheap feel that you only get from generic/fake remotes. Yamaha has pretty high standards, I know better . I could be wrong, but I'm almost 100%~ convinced it's a fake. Who would make a fake Yamaha remote you ask? Well, the Chinese ofcourse. Check Alibaba or Aliexpress. You can buy any fake remote by the thousands.That being said, I didn't want to pay more than $10 for a replacement remote, so I guess I can't complain too much ha.

We lost our remote control for our Yamaha receiver a few years ago. We did without it, until one day, I had the idea of looking on Amazon. Lo and behold, there was the exact remote we had lost for a very reasonable price. There's really not much else to say; this seems to be the genuine article, and it works great.

Old remote needed replacement due to corroded battery. Order arrived on time and remote works great as described.

Bought this for a bummed remote for my Pioneer RX-V381, worked right as soon as i put batteries in it could not be happier!

We lost our remote while remodeling and tried a couple of different universal remotes with no luck. Was thrilled to find this remote. Received it quickly and it was three exact same as the one that came with the system. Installed batteries and went on add if nothing had changed.

all of the other buttons seem to work, except volume, which is why I bought it.

Remote works like a charm - insert batteries and annoy your neighbours.

The only thing that works on this for my reciever is the volume button
