Dark Souls Vol. 3: Legends of the Flame

Haven read the previous works and been slightly satisfied I picked this one up out of curiosity. Its a great many smaller tales exploring dark souls from many angles we don't see in the games.

This was basically a collection of short stories set in the Dark Souls universe. Each story had a different author/illustrator...this was a bit hit and miss for me.Some of the artwork in here is amazing, some is kind of bad. The stories have the same variation in them.Overall if you are a huge fan of the Dark Souls universe I think you will probably enjoy this addition to that world. It’s a bit hit or miss, but adds some interesting background to the story. If you aren’t a Dark Souls fan I would skip it.

The best of the Dark souls comics, not that the bar is very high.There are still only surface elements of the actual dark souls lore with no real connection.

If you are currently reading this then I will assume you are here because you are a Dark Souls fan also.After the Dark Souls franchise is currently on hold I was looking for something to get stuck into.The book:The Art work is beautifully done.The book is made of a short stories all written and drawn by different artists.It is however not a lore book.It contains subtle reference to certain things in the game world.For example Fire keepers, Pus Of Man, The hollowing and the endless cycle of the curse, The Mirror Knight, not trusting NPCs in the game to name a few..Each story will touch upon things on the above but done through Artist / Writer impressionIts very well put together.On the back couple of pages is a comment section on each story from the Writer and Artist telling you what specific bits of the game / lore that influenced them to make it, along with a short explanation on each story.If your anything like me you will read it in the voices in the tone of the Dark Souls characters.It took me 1 hour to read in total with a cup of tea whilst listening to relaxing Dark Souls music on youtube.The only thing I would of liked is for it to be longer.If your after something to pass the time, love art work and a fan of Dark Stories / Dark Souls I would get it.But if your after a Heavy Lore - Character Reference - 100% Accurate on Dark Souls then this isn't for you.

Uma compilação de histórias curtas com uma história maior por trás de todas.Situado no universo sombrio de Dark Souls, as histórias estão envoltas em mistério, drama e escuridão.

Mi aspettavo di più, a onor del vero. Tuttavia, in virtù della mia smania da collezionista, spero che con il quarto volume ritorni il livello qualitativo delle prime due storie.
