Pretty illustrations, and nice poster in the back.

The title says it all. Percy the park keeper wakes up one day in the aftermath of a heavy storm. His animal friends are displaced. He helps them find a new one. The story is simple and pretty straight-forward. Its execution however is heart-warming and well-paced. Living in the Philippines, you do see the damage and destruction caused by typhoons. This book will certainly help children understand the effects of natural disasters. Furthermore, it presents the young readers of what to do in these cases as an individual and as a community.This book is recommended to all.

Simple story with great illustrations. Perfect for my one year old.

I had this book myself as a child, and it was always one that I pulled off the bookshelf to read again and again, and having spotted it as an adult, I bought it for my nephew. Rereading it now it hadn't lost any of the magic, it was still just as wonderful <3 It comes with a poster as well, which is such a pretty scene. Can't wait to buy the rest of these books for my darling nephew!

Beautiful story about friendship told in a wonderfully illustrated picture book. We are fans of Nick Butterworth and love the detailed images, the large scale poster pages that are included in all the Percy the park keeper stories. Gentle tale which would appeal to many.

Schöne Geschichte und toll bebildert. Meine Tochter liebt sie! Wir müssen sie immer wieder vorlesen. Vielleicht wird es das neue LieblingsBuch.
