Best (non-analogue) Controller For Emulation You'll Find
Of all the controllers out there for retro / emulation gaming, short of needing analogue controls, this is the best classical controller out there. It's a fine clone of SEGA's six-button controller, with two more shoulder buttons, and of course the main A-B-C buttons of the Megadrive are in the right place. As well as the START button, there's a MODE button in the centre that works as SELECT (or COIN) in your emulation setup. And though there are only one pair of shoulder buttons, the six face buttons mean you have enough controls to mimic the original Playstation digital controller. The only thing you have to work out is, for emulating systems with four buttons in a diamond, whether to use the left-most four buttons (A,B,X,Y, but then they're not the same designations as a SNES pad) or the main three buttons (A,B,C) and one off the top row (e.g. Y). Then for the PS, that leaves you with either Z+C at the end, or X+Z on the top row to assign as R2 and L2.Response and feel is very good, buttons are quick to operate and spring back cleanly. Most importantly the D-Pad is reliable and doesn't give stray diagonals. Cable length is generous too.I have bought a pair of cheap SNES clone pads, and while I have no past allegiance or favourite with either console, those cheaper SNES clones simply don't have enough buttons for some emulated systems (Street Fighter, Playstation), and the D-Pads are typically terrible - loose in the slot and likely to trigger false diagonals, sometimes sinking under pressure to trigger all four directions at once.

It's a controller
Big fan of this make of controller have other controllers for other systems always find them well made and a lasting product.Do not get me wrong they will get the same issues in the end and you will have to open it up to clean just like of old

Terrible quality
After 20 minutes of playing an easy platformer (very gently handled), the D-PAD no longer recognises left or up directions.Overall quality is awful and is made with very cheap plastic.

It’s cheap, and it shows.
First off, this is an affordable licensed mega drive controller that you can connect to a computer via USB.However, it really doesn’t feel very nice in your hands, it’s very light and the plastic looks and feels cheap, the buttons really aren’t very nice.I bought this as a wired alternative to the 8bitdo one that I have and while there is a substantial price difference, there’s also a significant difference in how the controller feels. One thing that really bigger me with this one was that every time you connect it you have to select the type of controller you want, by default it seems to map the d pad to analogue inputs which seems a really bizarre choice for a d pad, and there’s no way to seemingly save this.If you’re on a tight budget, go for it, if you can stretch further then other devices are available that just feel right in the hand, sadly this one doesn’t.I reverted very quickly back to my wireless one.
