It's a gimmick. The timer does not work at ALL! It runs slow as well, and I measured this against a digital timer. On some occasions it does not ring. Returned this straight away.

This little timer fits right in my pocket and is great for camping.

Pretty, but Useless.
Anytime I set this timer past 30 minutes, the hand freezes and ticking stops after 5 min. I come back after setting it to see the time remaining and I find that it hasn't moved. I've burned a few things in the oven because of this timer.
