Made my own corned beef with this. The only thing you need to know is that it is very salty after it soaks in the brine. You need to rinse. For the best result put it in the crock pot and let it get up to temp then dump the water and start over. That seemed to solve the salt issue and made a great meal.

Worked great, made smoked pork loin(chops) and turned out pink just like store bought. Just followed a smoked ham recipe. I believe it was only a 1/2 cup required for the recipe so should get several loins out of this one bag.

Product works just as it should. I have made several batches of American and Canadian bacon, as well as ham with this product. I like that it does not have any dyes in it.

Great product, fast shipping! Have already cured a Thanksgiving turkey which came out great and have a Christmas ham in the brine/cure right now. Looking forward to many more great smoked meals in the future.

Item just as described, except it's not pink. When I contacted the seller they stated that it's only added to distinguish it from other salts because curing salt by itself is not edible.

This is exactly what I needed. However, I was expecting the product color to be pink... it was white. To keep it from being used inadvertently as regular salt, I suggest making sure that the storage container used to store the salt be clearly labeled as Instacure#1 Prague salt.

This is a great curing salt and I was happy to find it on Amazon. Great for mixing your own cures and dry rubs. I have used it for making bacon, sausage, and candian bacon.

This stuff will last me forever but it was worth it. Our pastrami came out excellent and really delicious and pink.
