OK, I’m probably a little biased, I live in Idaho, these are Idaho Spuds and as everyone probably knows Idaho is known as the potato state. Surprisingly, there’s a lot more to Idaho than just potatoes, as a matter fact Idaho has the largest area without roads in the entire continental United States? No potatoes there.Another important thing to know for trivial pursuit or your possible appearance on Jeopardy is that the state of Maine produces more potatoes than Idaho…Now onto the important stuff. Idaho Spud candy bars made by the Idaho Candy Company have been a staple of my gift giving for many years. It’s always fun to introduce people far and wide to something they probably won’t find in their local candy store. I’ve sent these to coworkers, clients, family and friends and almost always get requests for more.This particular purchase of Idaho Spuds were used as gifts for our sister team from Hawaii at the National Academic Decathlon High School Championships earlier this year. It is a bit of tradition for sister teams to share something unique from their state and or culture. The Idaho state champion ACADECA Team received candy leis with macadamia chocolates from our sister city competitors and we introduced them to Idaho spuds. Both gifts were well received and gobbled up quickly to provide good energy for the competition, thanks to our friends in Hawaii for the leis. One of my favorite candy bars and make superb "care packages". I received these often while I was on active duty. I got mobbed when I received a box by homesick buddies from the Pacific Northwest every time I got a box. Once had a senior NCO scream, "Where the **** did you get that?!?", when he saw me pass one off to a buddy. They're more common now, but still a favorite of any soldiers from around Idaho. Yummy, nostalgic and addictive. My mother-in-law won't share the ones she gets on her birthday and every Christmas, lol!

After my 10 year old granddaughter and I watched an episode of Unwrapped that showed how Idaho Spud candies are made, we were intrigued by the thought of actually tasting one. There’s no chance of finding one locally so we took a chance and ordered a whole box of 12 bars. We were not disappointed! They arrived surprisingly quickly and were well packaged in a “potato box”. We loved them and enjoy them as a treat every time she visits. I just wish they were a little cheaper.

Went to Idaho on a vacation and got "turned on" to these. Yikes, they are so delicious! While we were there, we bought an entire box to take home with us. I had given most away and everyone loved them so I ordered a box for me and the family, lol.

This is my candy bar, had to find anywhere stores just don't carry them. I grew up with Idaho Spud i am from Idaho love them so much. Sorry middle chocolate had to go very upsetting it really made the ID Spud special. Go to Amazon to find this ID Spud nothing like it. Thanks
