NOTE: I HIGHLY recommend that you use this in a dishwasher only. Due to the overall construction, I don't see how it could last long in a clothes washer.The Nike hat was my golf hat that I had "retired" due the sweat stains really showing. The other hat is one I like to wear on any given day with a pair of jeans. Before washing, I sprayed some of the more heavily soiled areas with a spray 'n wash-equivalent cleaner, hoping for a better result. I placed the hats in the top rack and ran it on a standard wash cycle.When the cycle ended, I removed the hats and was slightly shocked to see that while they looked overall cleaner, every area that was heavily soiled before washing was still dirty. I ended up taking a wash rag and scrubbing over where the sweat stains were on the exterior of each hat, as well as the head band area on the inside of each to remove a large amount of remaining stains that were likely from sweat combined with hair product residue. The last three photos show the results after allowing the hats to dry.Pros: The frame serves it's purpose of keeping the hat's shape while washing. It's fairly sturdy, snaps together snugly, and stayed snapped during the wash. It should last for numerous cycles in the top rack of the dish washer.Cons: Many people that purchased these likely haven't used them before. The seller should include better instructions, including possibly having to pre-treat hats, and/or even having to scrub certain parts of the hats to ensure better cleaning. If the seller had done this I would have rated it 5-stars.

Good quality and cost

Very useful for washing you caps, was easy to open, it is pretty sturdy did have an issue where it came apart in the wash but it still held up. Plus you can get a few and use them to retain the shape of your caps.

Great for Flat Bill Hats/Caps! The Ballcap Buddy Cap Washer is very easy to use. It's lightweight, easily maneuverable, and ideally fits on the top rack of your dishwasher. I have used it on all kinds of dish washing cycles. I mainly have fitted flat bill hats, and my hat sizes of 7 1/8 to 7 1/2 fit perfectly. (Pictured hat is 7 1/8). The hats definitely maintain their shape! After the cycles are complete, I air dry the hats in case they are still wet. I have had both "Buddy's" for more than 2 years now, using them at least once a week, sometimes more. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who needs to clean their hats often, and who has a dishwasher.* Just so everyone knows, I have not been "paid" for this review in any kind of way.

Doesn’t look strong enough but does the job nicely.

I was finally able to wash my ball caps without the fear of misshaping them. I put these in a top loader wash on gentle cycle and worked as advertised.

This BallcapBuddy system works well. It is nice having multiple "buddies" since it makes sense to run the dishwasher to clean more than one hat. The hats come out clean and than we hang the buddies to dry and the hats look practically new. Very pleased.

Made of plastic but works fine and hold most hat sizes. Just wish it was more of of a metal basket but then that would cost more then this product

I have to admit I was dubious as to whether these BallcapBuddy's would actually work. However I was face with either throwing some of my favourite caps in sweat-stained disgust or try washing them. I put the caps in the top rack of the dishwasher as instructed. An hour later the caps came out looking new. Well worth the money.

It is easy to use. Works well to hold the shape of the hat and ive been using it regularly to maintain my hats.

I have 4 hats I really like but have been using at the gym, all were becoming stained and smelly and 1 had an oil stain. I was able to do 2 at a time on the top rack of the dishwasher as recommended for the 1-hour cycle and all came out spotless and smelling fresh!!! So happy, as I love these caps, I was ready to throw them out though and buy some new ones and now I don't have too and knowing I can wash anytime now, I can freely use at the gym and more going forward! As my title states, they do exactly what they say, I left them in the racks overnight up against the counter wall and all were dry by morning.
