Samsung Galaxy S5 User Manual: Tips & Tricks Guide for Your Phone! Paperback – May 7, 2014

I work with people who can tell you everything about and a phone and how it works even if they don't have the phone. I am someone who needs lots of help besides texting, checking email and facebook I am lost. When I got my Samsung S5 phone I was overwhelmed so many people told me what the phone could do but I was stuck on setting an alarm. Decided to buy the book. It is a quick introduction to the phone and took me about 20 minutes to read. It gives you a general idea how each feature works and than going to the phone to experiment helped with the learning curve. Most of things I was happy to learnm the average phone geek would instinctivly know how do. This is a must have book for beginners or tech challenged, a should have for people with moderate phone skills and avoid for people who love phones and everything about them.

There is nothing really new in this book, nothing of any real detail, all this book does is give you a general outline of how to operate the phone.

I downloaded more than one Samsung s5 User's manual. They all seem to be written in haste, presumably to get the book out as soon as possible after the phone is released. This is the best I've seen. It's OK as a general introduction to the phone and it's cheap, but I do wish there was more content and it had a proper index. Indexing isn't that hard to do. It would take the author perhaps a day and would make the manual much more useful as a reference tool. It also needs more on photography and editing photographs. Aside from all that, it's adequate, not five stars, but 3/4 of the way there.

This is a poor excuse for an user manual; it does not give detailed information but hints and suggestions, Waste of money. Better to download the REAL User Manual (270+pages) from the Samsung web site.

My mom just got her first smartphone. After I did the initial setup, she was calling me a few times a day for help doing pretty basic things like texting or making a call. She was talking about sending the phone back and keeping it old school. So I got this manual to try to make it easier for her to learn to use her new device. She can now look to this manual when she has a basic question and she's able to do most things without having to call for help. It's not going to help with app specific things in most cases, but for someone who has trouble doing simple tasks this is a godsend! It clearly explains how to do the basics with step-by-step instructions.

It is an info package. Very easy to understand with phone in hand and helpful.

Quick read. Gave me a lot of useful info. Just wish I had found this book back when I first bought the phone. Cleared up some confusion in key areas. Now off to see what I have learned.

I probably wish I hadn't spent the few bucks for this. Not very helpful. TIPS? Really!!!. Oh well when you pay a few bucks you should realize what you are getting. It inspired me to write a small manual.

Very Basic Book. Probably great for one relatively new to computers

The screens identified in this book did not seem to appear on my instrument!
