It works !
Quick snap out of the old unit and snap in of the new and now my cars stop/start works again and the engine light has cleared after three restarts.With stop/start activated and engine shutdown, dissipating booster vacuum caused the engine to restart so it works correctly.Went off the part number as Amazon's system seemed to think it didn't fit my car, oh well.Very good price and a snip compared to VW prices and not an easy part to source in the normal motor factors.

Too cheap to work?
A Stop/Start error appeared on my son's VW Polo. Having looked on the internet and spoken to a mechanic who ran diagnostics to read the fault codes, he suggested 'starting' with replacing the brake booster sensor....but "dont buy a cheap one!"A 'genuine' VW part was over £60, so I took a punt and paid £15 for this one. 10 minutes to fit - all errors cleared!Time will tell of course.
