Awesome!! Very informative and was fun learning new techniques.
This book is awesome!! I do recommend sitting down and going through it front to back, page to page before using it as a "flip-to" reference guide. Add little notes here and there as you go through it. Even simply installing the VMs I've had a few bad links and little differences from the book and it's good to note those things for future reference. (Not Daniels fault. No two computers/networks are the same and simply things change fast). Also go through the book in entirety because there are very few times some the later chapters refer back to prior chapters. This book covers many new techniques to solving old problems. Ive read 30 or more of these type books and this is perhaps the only one I've read where it teaches all alternative methods instead of the usual "go-to" method that other books tend to repeat from each other. Anyone who's spent any time hacking knows that some techniques work on some machines while others don't so it's great to have options. This is exactly what this book does. Gives you options.I've noticed Daniel catches heat for his writing style. He tends to refer to information that was covered in prior chapters. When readers flip to a chapter they expect all info to be there, Well... There are a ton of steps to hacking and Daniel does a great job of taking screenshots to assist his readers. If he was to repeat information over and over, it'd make this already thick book simply unmanageable. I actually appreciate he doesn't keep "beating the dead horse".Another thing he gets heat for sometimes these techniques change settings in different terminals and Daniel doesn't note this, nor the fix. I personally find it hilarious people make this complaint! A reader is reading a book titled "How to hack computers" and then complain when their computers throw a fit. It's the nature of the game and honestly I don't know what they expect Daniel to do about it. Complainers expect a one technique to work the same for everyone and that simply isn't realistic. Besides if you want to be a good hacker, this is what it's all about. finding a problem and fixing it. If spending an hour trying to research why the program you were working with just took out your network connection and how to fix it, doesn't sound like fun to you... well why are you reading a hacking book? That's literally what hackers do..Anyway. Anyone actually serious about wanting to learn to exploit systems must have this book. It's by far in my top 5 hacking books.

good reference for many tools
This book has many good references for kali tools and methods. It’s not meant to be read all the way through but to be used as a reference.

Absolute wealth of knowledge
There’s a LOT of pentesting books out there. There are NOT a lot of good ones. This book changes that, especially in how it goes far past the surface level in so many areas. Dan has been doing this stuff for a long time, but one of the things that separates him most is his passion and proficiency as a teacher. You won’t regret getting this book!

Always impressive
I've read all of Daniels books and they have greatly helped me from a growth perspective. Always well written and nothing is said without purpose. Five stars.
