Kingopt 60a Maxi Fuse Holder 8awg

I purchased this item to complete the installation of a subwoofer and amplifier in my car. I needed to fuse the 8AWG cable I ran to the trunk as close to the battery as possible for safety, and this item seemed to fit the bill. It works fine, seems to be water resistant, and was easy to install. I used a little Permatex dielectric grease on the contacts to make fuse insertion easy and hopefully add some additional water resistance. My fuse holder rides on top of my car battery under the battery cover, so I am not worried about direct exposure to water. Time will tell if it can withstand general humidity, but it has worked great for several months with no signs of corrosion.

Works as advertised. There might have been reviews about the fuse socket being tight, but I found the opposite to be true. The fuses seem to fit a little loose in my opinion. That said, I don't see any problems with the connection. I'm not sending enough current through it to make heat a possible problem.

Well made and heavy duty but wire could be longer it is labeled 1 foot but it really is only 8 inches long.The length of the wire is the only reason for a 4 star rating.No included fuse you must purchase the fuse separately and this supplier does not have or list any.Still a good product.

It just what I needed to get my stereo up and running

Used this to create a custom wire harness for quick connection to the battery on my 2015 Indian Chief so that I don't have to unbolt and remove the seat and other parts in order to jump start the bike. This provides the inline fuse protection to protect the bike.

It is a fuse holder and holds the fuse like it is supposed to. Hard to be real excited about it.

More the size of awg 6 gauge wire but worked well when butt connected to my marine battery awg 8. Copper wires are thin but there are a lot of them. Trolling motor worked fine in first test. Case is heavy duty. Seems legit. 50 amp fuse fit well.
