Compliments my love for craftsmanship and use of cast iron! Perfectly sized for either new or cast iron grandma passed through the family. I appreciate the look and feel — unlike cloth potholders/towels that instantly radiate heat and becomes a safety hazard to your hand, this leather does NOT radiate or burn. The whimsical company name alone makes me long for other products from H&D. The product is comfortable and leaves me with total ‘control’ of my hot pans. Being quality leather, it has that feeling and instant trust like that of my old H&D leather belt (what brings me back to Hide & Drink); both item do their designed job exceptionally well, won’t let things drop, and are always up to doing the job.

Oh my good gracious glory, this is the best potholder for my wrought iron pan! I literally cannot feel any heat come through and it fits so snug on the handle. It slides on easily but doesn’t rotate when you lift the pan, as some other brand do, which is important when you’re working with searing hot metal that’s heavy as, well, lead. I forgot to take it off the handle once while cooking and it was ever so slightly warm on the side closest to the flame but I could still easily hold the pan with it and it wasn’t scorched at all ( I have a gas range). I generally don’t leave it on the handle while I’m cooking and haven’t tried to clean it. This is clearly of excellent quality and it is truly full grain leather. It has so dented a bit with more frequent use but is as comfortable as ever.

These are very sturdy, but are not quite long enough. Yes, I should have measured my pot handles... That being said, I do like them.

These pot holders are perfect! I ordered several and will be ordering more. I found that the small fit my Calphalon pots and smaller pans best. For my largest pots and pans the large was perfect. The folded over stitched on one side style was also my preference over the version with stitching all around. I also use one on my Chantal classic tea kettle and it hasn’t gotten hot despite my leaving it on, even while heating water.Great quality, thick leather, protects my hand from the heat of my pans. I have many heavy French copper pans with cast-iron handles and these look absolutely gorgeous on them! I highly recommend. Also, one of the reviewer said inconsistent quality. I bought many of these covers and did not experience any inconsistency.

I bought this for my husband who loves his cast iron skillet for burgers and steaks. He does not like how often he forgets that the handle is hot. This was a perfect surprise gift to him. It’s inexpensive, well made, handsome and manly looking. He was very impressed. I’m happy bc his burgers are A+!!

Works well as a handle trivet. Looks really nice, especially on my older cast iron pan.I’ve had numerous comments on how sharp it looks.Recommended.

There is no double layer of leather and there also is no sheepskin on the inside. But it does fit on my cast iron pan handle

I have a griddle and an 8" cast iron skillet, both from Lodge and this sleeve fits perfectly on both of them. It's a bit tight on the griddle which is okay - the last thing we want is a sleeve that is loose and can cause injury. Glad to also support a business that works with local people in the villages in developing countries! Highly recommend!

Its a fake product...it has no stamping of Hide & Drinks logo embossing on it, whereas the photos on amazon india site shows it has !!
