AMD Ryzen 5 5600G is an excellent value for money proposition. For those who want good performance at lower price point it does not get better than this.This processor uses the older AM4 socket and only supports DDR4The cooler (wraith stealth) in the box comes with thermal paste applied. Do not touch it! there is no sticker on top of it and can be installed directly on top of CPU. There are you tube videos that help with this stepDo not buy motherboards greater then those based on the B450 chipset. This processor can only use PCie3.0 and not PCIe4.0 therefore motherboards based on B550 and above chipsets offer no performance improvements even at a higher price (note: if you are getting a separate GPU with PCIe 4.0 e.g. AMD radeon RX 6500XT or want to use NVMe SSD with M.2 and PCIe 4.0, you might want to look at AMD Ryzen 5600X, which supports PCIe4.0. Of course 5600X is more expensive and does not have iGPU)Processor is easy to install.The cineBench R23 score for this processor is around 10900 points (multi core) and 1500 points (single core) which is better than a 9th gen core i9 (the direct competitor for this processor from intel is the i5 12400, which has slightly better performance (10-15%) as it is newer. It is also pricier as are the compatible motherboards. Also it supports DDR 5 which 5600G does not. The iGPU in 5600G is vastly superior though )The onboard Radeon Vega 6 graphics is also performative, with 30-40 FPS in modern games (tested with ghostrunner demo) at medium settings. This iGPU will hands down beat most or all intel iGPU and is a good choice for playing games on medium to low settings at 1080P without needing a separate GPU. A good processor for daily use PC not for specially gaming but you can use this for for GTA 5 like games at low settings you can get around 100 fps easy to install if you know how to it comes with a fan

It's been more than 2 years, it's still good as new, and I like it (can't say much, as this is my first one)

The media could not be loaded. Edit : Contacted the amd customer support directly, they shipped the heat sink fan and received it. So far all seems wellThe processor, just as it is seems fine. But the CPU fan that came with it is not rotating. It struggles to move. Sometimes, it might start working, but in low RPM only. I tried to contact customer service of Amazon and they ghosted me. Tried to contact in a number on AMD support site, and they have asked to raise a ticket in website.
