Excellent image quality but slow focus spoils what could be a great camera.
Although not as well made as their other cameras, this camera produces superb results from its 24 MP sensor. We purchased this as second body, as we use the X Pro 2 and XT 2 cameras, and the X-A3 shares the same lens mount and battery as those cameras.Pros:1. Excellent jpg image quality2. Light and small3. Uses the same battery as the more upmarket cameras4. X series lens mount.5. Movable rear screenCons:1. Slow focus2. No viewfinder, so difficult to see in the sun3. Feels a little cheapRecommended

Amazing! Absolutely love it!
I needed a camera for traveling that would be small and lightweight, and would also let me have manual control. This camera is so good! Image color and quality is amazing straight out of camera. Build quality is good, has lots of cool features. I was unsure if I should get it because I saw many negative reviews, but I think it's more of user error than the actual fault of the camera because it worked fine when I learned how it works. Absolutely love it!

Waste of money
Camera not working or the lens. I did not even use it because it kept saying lens error. I needed to go to store to fix it the damage but it was too expensive.

Just a quality camera!
My daughter shoots Canon and I shoot Canon and Sony. Based on reviews, I purchased this for my wife for Christmas, who has been opposed to digital because she minored in photography in college 25 years ago and broke bread at the Alter of Film. She reluctantly started using and is now pulling it out for everything. Loves the sharpness, the skin tone quality, and the camera's ability to tackle different lighting conditions. Very nice, quality camera.

Great camera! A couple things to look out for though
This camera is awesome and a joy to use. I took this camera with me on my trip to South Korea and as a photographer, one of the things I loved most about it was the fact that it was light and didn't add weight to my bag when walking around and seeing the sights on long days (I also have a Nikon D3300 and as much as I love that camera, the weight of it becomes apparent really fast when walking around with it just for a couple hours). There's no need for me to list off specs here as you can read them in the product description but pictures come out sharp and colors generally stay true to their original. Video quality is great and the touchscreen feature was actually really helpful for me in when it came to auto-focusing (just tap the area you want to focus on and it's done). There are also lots of different shooting modes to choose from-portrait, nighttime, indoor, flower, and others-to suit whatever your needs are for your environment. It also has a built in interval mode for scheduling time lapses (no need to buy additional equipment for that). There are a couple things I did notice when using this camera. When recording video in a room, if you're recording yourself and there's no one else around, it picks up quite a bit of ambient noise which sometimes can drown out your audio if you're speaking for the video. To remedy this, I would recommend getting an external mic just to minimize the noise. Also, when switching the dial on the front to "M", I noticed that sometimes white pixels appear in the corners or outlines of my subjects. I'm not sure what causes this but such pixels don't seem to appear when I'm shooting in "S" mode.Again, overall it's a wonderful camera and I would definitely recommend it!

Not great, mediocre quality at best.
Came broken, overall flimsy feel. I would due your research go with just about anything else. Could be a great design but just not great at all.

Stylish, social camera
Very stylish, easy to carry camera. Takes incredible pictures during light/day and decent with night. The flash works very well in nighttime shots, though. I would recommend this camera for casual photographers who want something more serious than a cellphone camera, but nothing as bulky or intimidating as a bulky DSLR. Learning curve is about 6 months to understand this camera properly.

Great picture quality, mediocre autofocus, poor Android transfer and control app...
Picture quality is really good, because of great sensor, processor, and kit zoom lens. Good to have a flipping display monitor too. Autofocus is acceptable and good enough for family, landscape, casual, and street photography. However, if transferring images to your Android smartphone is a priority, then you probably will be very disappointed. Software is buggy, slow, and unreliable. With my Samsung 7s, transfers and control functions only work about 20% of the time with the X-A3. Read the reviews of this application in the Google play store, if you have any doubts...
