My favourite alarm clock.
I love this clock, its size is perfect especially when in a half asleep stupor and want to read it without wearing glasses. It’s great because the brightness can be adjusted and screen can be switched off so it doesn’t disturb sleep through light. Also, it can be powered by battery or electrical socket, I have mine plugged into the usb of my stereo so I’m not taking up plug space, the price I think is reasonable and fair for what it is, and I love the multicoloured screen too, my only complaint is that it could do with better instruction as to how it’s to be set up, I find it hard to do from the enclosed instructions as the text is tiny and I set mine up via the trial and error approach, thankfully it’s all good and would definitely recommend.

Too bright for a bedside clock
Mixed feelings about this clock. Some great features, and some frustration. The key issue, I think, is "What is your intended usage?".Positives - large bright clear display, which will be great for a room clock under normal lighting. Easy set-up menus. It also can be powered by both a USB cable and by AAA batteries. So the good news is that when you have any form of power cut, the clock carries on powered by its AAA battery. No more complete resetting everything after a power cut. I've tested this and it works well.Negative - if your intended usage is as a bedside clock (which is my use for it). It is FAR FAR too bright on its dimmest setting. I thought with 3 brightness settings it might have a dimmer setting than many others. I was wrong! My clock is now inside a thick black sock and the brightness level through the sock is just what I wanted for a dim bedside clock during the night. Crude, I admit. But it works for me as I've given up trying to find a clock that remains dimly illuminated. Finally to finish with a positive: Despite the sock to reduce the brightness, the large display digits are still easy to see with sleepy bleary night eyes. It is probably also a benefit for people with vision impairments.

Annoying Functionality Makes it Almost Useless
This clock looks great, but to have it remember things like the time, date, alarm settings etc, you need the batteries in. Which is useful for not having to re-set the time every time you unplug it. (Which, for me, is why I bought it. It's small and portable, so useful to take with you whilst travelling or similar). The instructions say that when you're powering it off batteries only, the screen goes off after 10 seconds. Which kinda makes sense. Maybe. However, if you're using batteries, and the USB power, the screen STILL goes off after 10 seconds. Which seems totally useless. I want the batteries in so that it remembers the time, and I want to use the USB power so that I can plug it in wherever I'm using it.I guess it's fine if you're just going to have it constantly plugged in, but it just seems like a really annoying function.
