Hardware Resources Steel 35-Quart Black Trash Can with Smooth Traction, Complete Waste Management System

I installed this waste basket pullout system in place of a much more expensive Rev-A-Shelf system that fell apart under regular use. The Hardware Resources system lacks the soft close feature of the other but its simplicity and rugged construction strongly suggests that it will last a great deal longer. Perhaps the only slightly complex part of the installation was affixing the hardware to attach the door to the sliding basket. The HR instructions took a little time to decipher, but once understood were easy to implement. All in all, the HR system is fit for purpose and a great deal less expensive than others I looked at.

After getting estimates for both all new cabinets or just replacing our 1970s-80s arched panel oak doors that had been finished with walnut-colored stain, I decided to turn them into flat panel shaker doors myself, paint them gray & use a small amount of the tens of thousands of dollars saved to purchase nice stainless steel organizers for our base cabinets. The result has been awesome & this slide-out garbage & recycling bin one is used many times every single day. It allows you to remove the hinges from a hinged door & mount it to the front so that it looks great. You just mount the base with the two ball bearing slides to the floor of the cabinet, which is MUCH easier than attaching slides to the sides & back. Put a solid cabinet pull on the front of the door & it’ll be as good or better than a brand new garbage & recycling bin base cabinet that isn’t built nearly as well. Plus your project will be much greener, a lot cleaner & will be done much faster too!

Works well, glides smooth, good price. Only downfall is the bins don’t sit against the door, there’s a 2+inch gap between the cabinet door and the bins and it’s a bit annoying, but other than that nice product

I was really excited to get this as we were tired of putting our trash can on the counter.The measurements shown are not entirely correct so I had to redo the face frame. After I installed at first I thought I could get use to it. No amount of adjustments would get rid of the gap while closed. Also the slides have a type of lock that seems after a while to will rip the cover off. I tried fabrication with different slides but nothing will work. I ended up tossing it. I recommend one with soft close. Easier to adjust.

This thing is awesome. So easy to install. I’ve looked for 6 months for a replacement to my pull out garbage. So good!!!

This product was hard to install. It got the job done but was not very sturdy. It broke after 1 year of use and we ended up having to replace it with a more expensive competitor product that was very solid and way easier to assemble. I wish we had done that from the beginning because we ultimately would have saved more money.
