Holds Not just Onions but Tomatoes. I bought this because I have cut myself 3 times with some new knives and this device is the best solution. I tried a Mandolin but it was too dangerous for me.

Smaller than I expected.
My wife got this for me. I am a smaller person but I have large hands and this took a while for me to get used to. It is not bad but it works for what I need. Took a few times to get the hang of how deep to plunge the tines into whatever I am slicing. Still all in all I think it is a useful tool.
