Buy THESE kind of handles ONLY from this brand
Buy the kind that have THESE sturdy handles only. I made the mistake of purchased an additional set with handles built differently after I bought this one and the handle popped out in the middle of one trip. I returned that one but will go back to this one when I'm ready.

Great luggage
Great functionality inside and out. The break is a good feature. With the matching handbag strapped on top, you don’t have to check bag and it’s good not to have to carry your hand luggage. And it looks good too!

Happy and chic
Looks great, great quality. Scuffs fairy easily but most lighter scuffs can be wiped away with a wash cloth. While it is a carry on bag, I recommend purchasing a luggage protector too to have on hand when traveling in case you end up having to check it in.

Took a solo ride bouncing down an escalator and came out on top!
I wasn't sure this was a good buy, as I can find suitcases for a fraction of this price at TJMaxx. However, I was sold on the style and really wanted to believe it was a higher quality, in spite of a few of the reviews I read on here. Well I'm here to tell you....this suitcase can take a beating! I dare anyone to drop their $99 bags from TJMaxx down an airport escalator and see what happens. This was a LOOONNNG escalator at Logan. My son was standing behind me, going down, so higher up. Right as we began our descent he somehow lost control of his bag. Mine was packed pretty heavy, so I had no safe choice when his hit mine other than to let it go. I watched it bounce down, and bounce it did, hitting one corner after another, with it's telescopic handle fully extended, helpless. It felt like slo-mo, as it took forever for it to land at the bottom. When I finally caught up to it at the bottom I found no dents, no cracks, handle fully intact, barely a scratch. I still can't believe it. I'm sold.Update: If the person who wrote the review titled "Terrible" just below mine would like to ship theirs to me instead of throwing it away, that'd be great! ;-)

Well built
Have used several times now. Is well built and sturdy. The light color shows lots of marks.

Beautiful but heavy and does not expand
I purchased the 28" Chatelet in angora (white with brown trim). Love it, it's beautiful, rolls upright and pulls easily, but this is a heavy, rigid bag. It needs a handle on the bottom of the bag to allow easy lifting and loading - I had to awkwardly sling this beast into the car and onto the bed several times while traveling, which is never an issue with my bottom handle bags. This bag does not expand (it is a rigid clamshell-type bag), so if you're prone to overpacking or shopping on trips, I would use compression packing cubes to avoid popping a zipper when you're reaching capacity. If you're planning to check this bag at the airport, add a suitcase cover to protect the beautiful outer shell from airport grime/scuffing. Beautiful bag, lots of compliments.

Beautiful and perfect for my travel needs.
I saw this on Black Friday at a great price and snatched it up to go with a matching 24” piece I already own. This carry-on size in the Champagne color had been sold out everywhere for a while, so when I saw it appear on Black Friday for a discounted price, I was prepared for a knock-off or less than perfect item.Looks like it checks out! It certainly looked legit with Delsey tags and booklets, but I did call and check the serial number just to be sure.I rated 5 stars because it’s exactly what I have been looking for...I already know I like it. The quality is fantastic and worth the investment for my needs. If you’re unfamiliar with the Chatelet line, they are not “lightweight” or expandable, but for my travel needs, those were not the most important attributes. The quality is fantastic and the piece is BEAUTIFUL.I use a clear luggage cover when checking the bag to protect from scuffs. I took a matching piece to Europe, and after several times being checked, the scuffs weren’t terrible, but I had to work much harder than expected to remove them. (Because the scuffs we’re settled down into the tiny texture.)I’ve traveled air, car, and train with a Chatelet Champagne piece and am very, very happy I invested in nice-looking, quality luggage.(None of the “leather” is real leather. I think I’ve seen it described incorrectly in some listings. The faux-leather is easy to clean and seems to resist watermarks and stains.)

Looks like $10K Luggage
My fiancé and I first saw this luggage in a department store when we were doing our wedding registry. She instantly fell in love with the luggage and I was impressed with how well constructed and durable every bag was—despite the designer style. Plus, the luggage has a lot of cool modern features. Also, I thought the bags were very well priced considering that they felt like elite luggage such as Tumi or LV. We eventually kept walking looking at other things, and knowing that she had a birthday coming up, and our wedding and honeymoon towards the end of the year, I decided that it would be a perfect gift as we also have to international trips planned for 2023. I am mediately was able to pull up the luggage for an even better price on Amazon and decided to pull the trigger. Everything put together in the photo was around $700, but I still saved around $100 not doing it at that department store. Plus, the bags are so well-made and seem like they will last a long time that the price seems like it could’ve been much higher.-Matt in Tampa
