Q: Is anyone else noticing white residue? Saw white sediment at bottom of glass (and after meling the ice from the filtered ice maker)

The ICE water isn't filtered and the white residue is from the ice machine itself and its quick freeze technology drawing certain minerals out of your water. Our last Kenmore Elite had this issue. ONLY way to resolve it is to install an external filtration system ($50) behind the fridge to filter the water coming in from the wall line before it enter the fridge. We just replaced the fridge with the same one after 12 years and the new one freezes the ice slower and we don't have the residue any longer.
