Quicken Willmaker & Trust 2022: Book & Software Kit (Nolo)

I ordered the book & software kit, and am unable to download the software. Nolo no longer honors my old password. Nolo's "I FORGOT MY PASSWORD" feature will not send me an e-mail (Yes I'm sure it wasn't caught in a spam filter). Nolo won't let me create an account with my e-mail as password telling me that account already exists. I can not retrieve the product download that comes with the book. Nolo support is completely non responsive. I paid the price, but I did not retrieve the software part of the product.

I got the book and on the back page I found the download link. I was able to download the software and begin to use it - no problem. Created Durable Powers of Attorneys and Medical Directives for both me and my wife. We will complete our wills soon. The program has great suggestions and guides to inform you of options and state requirements. Great program.

It says software kit included on the cover. It's very disappointing. Sending it back.

First of all, so-called 'Durable Financial Power of Attorney' does NOT include any language the includes power of attorney for banking, so they will NOT have access to your bank accounts. Wells Fargo Bank completely rejected the document for Any purpose. No matter what, it is invalid once you die - in any state in the US. Even if they are designated as Executor in a will, in South Carolina, they cannot access bank accounts unless there is a specific separate statement they are acting as your representative for banking. I now have to pay an attorney to prepare these. I want my money back!

Only the book arrived, and no software package as promised. What a waste of time. REFUND please.

We all wait to make a will, I guess superstition plays a role. I purchased this product to help a friend that was worried about a current will. The book and the program are so very thoughtful. It walks you through all the steps to build not only a will but makes you think of other things. Where do you want to go when you die? Do you want an event, music, food. What about your pets? What are the local rules. Do I need a lawyer. What kind of witnesses make it binding.... on and on. Just read the book, and run the program. You can do it several times. When you are ready, print and follow the instructions for witnesses and the local rules. You can even take this with you to a lawyer for another review. Do it, you family should be protected.As a side note, there are some quirks in the program so make sure you try a sample will just to be comfortable with the protocol for saving or going back and correcting/changing items.

This is a great product. The book provides clear justifications, explanations and instructions on why and how to prepare the individual documents. By explaining each step and explaining why the process has to be done in a particular way, it all makes sense and makes it easy to follow along. The software and downloadable forms wraps up the whole package very nicely.For those who are losing their minds with supposedly not getting the software, the key code is on the inside back cover. You just need to follow the link, create an account on the Nolo website and then download the software for installation onto your computer. It's really quite simple.
