My favorite "bird" in this group of attachments is the one with the peacock feather. It flies through the air just like a real bird. I just adopted two kittens and their favorite attachment is the mouse. I may have even sacrificed it in the interest of introducing the two kittens to each other today. They both loved it so much that I took it off the wand so that they could interact with each other while playing with it. I haven't investigated yet to see if it is still in one piece. If not, I will be getting another one. Mouse is their favorite. I like that the wand telescopes so that I can easily hide it when play time is over.UPDATE 1/15/17: The mouse held up perfectly to their rabbit kicks, batting and chewing. I invited the two older cats to join in the play with the mouse on the wand. I haven't seen the 10-year old so excited in ages. He's a pretty big boy, but the mouse had him leaping into the air. Part of the appeal is the crinkly tail and part is the spring to the elastic string that hooks up to the wand. This toy was first brought to my attention by a Floppy Cats video review, where her two ragdolls participated in the review by showing how much they like to play with it.FURTHER UPDATE 1/15/17: I just noticed that the mouse attachment is not listed as included with the wand. It must have come as a bonus. Thanks, Pets Can Play. Another feature that I appreciate that the attachment can come off of the string as well as coming off the wand with the string attached. This allows me to let the kittens play with a "dead bird" without the danger of the string wrapping around their neck when I'm not looking. The bell also can be removed to prevent any danger from choking.

I never had the problems with the fiberglass others have mentioned but the toys that came with that other companies wand got torn apart pretty quick and reading the reviews for these refills they sound much more sturdy(they are!!) so I decided to just order the pole too and avoid the problem before it is one, I am pretty happy with the pole but the real magic is the toys, these things are awesome !!!! I start singing "b,b,b,b,b,b,b,b,b, bird, bird, bird, da bird is da word" like Peter Griffin before I go to get it now and my cats start falling over each other to follow me and tripping me up they are so crazy about this toy, just the song and they know what is coming. When I actually do get to the toy and pull it out our male will chase this thing until he cannot run anymore because he is panting so hard, never seen a house cat do that before. Our cats have found their favorite toys ever and thankfully this company/seller makes em right, our boy is a 20+lb tank and he destroys toys but these have held up quite well, still gonna have to reorder toy refills someday but it will be months away now and the wand should last a long time, these feather toys last and more importantly they are BONKERS about them!

My Maine Coon and my Siberian cat both love to take a running dash at it from far away. This toy is much fun if you go up and down cat towers and hide it inside of cat tunnels. Keep your toy novel by changing their experience with the toy on a daily basis is advised for maximum benefit.This would be the toy I would buy if I could only have one toy to select for a very picky cat or a cat who is hard to motivate for scheduled play times. Please always keep these toys up when not in use and remember to have fun!

My cats love this. The large feathers are great and even entice our adult cats to play like kids! The extendable wand is great.There are a couple of issues which are easy to fix. First is the string tangle. Remove white string from the top of the pole and set it aside. Attach string with feathers directly to the top of the pole. Mine kept getting very tangled and the kitties are not very patient when you need to detangle, this arrangement works great, and now it doesn't get as tangled as some of the others.The second issue is the way the feather attaches to the clasp. My cats pulled it out within ten minutes. I poked the metal circle back through the plastic and superglued it. Hasn't come out since.You will need to put it away in its sleeve or you won't be able to keep your cats from getting to it. My cats performed some amazing feats of strength, agility and persistence trying to get to this wand..

I like this cat toy, don't get me wrong. It's just cheaply made for the price I paid for it. The wand came ready to play with all pieces put together, however, the feathers weren't connected to the rubbery piece they should have been glued into and I had to use the replacement piece right off the bat in order to use the toy. Then the second bunch of feathers came out of the rubber holder within a few minutes of playing. I had to glue both feather bunches back into their holders less than 15 minutes after opening the package.I was also hoping that with there being so many swiveling parts to this toy, that the feathers would make a noise when I pulled them through the air (which was really, the effect I was going for when purchasing this particular toy) but they make little noise, if any at all. I was hoping to use the toy to get her to come into a different room or to get her attention audibly. Visually, it works well.
