This belt worked really well while caring for my 94-year-old mother who could barely walk because of knee pain. She would walk with her walker and I would follow her holding on to the belt. Also wonderful for helping her on and off the toilet and getting her into bed. Very durable and better than the ones at the hospital. I also stuck it in the washer and hung dried it.

Health issues made a gait belt a requirement. I've used it consistently for about a month or so now and it works. It's sturdy and with that comes confidence that I can prevent or control a fall. By that I mean I might not be able to prevent the fall completely but I feel confident I could ease the fall so no bones are broken. The gait belt helps prevent any fall event from happening since it's easy to steady him when walking.

The gait belt is a high quality woven belt with an easy belt buckle that holds the size in place securely. It is a must have when helping people who are unstable on their feet to hold them up without pulling on their limbs or pants. Very fast shipping.

The belt really works but only if you are trained by someone to use it. It's not safe to just throw it on someone and pick them up safely. We dropped my mom using it before the physical therapist trained us to safely use it to move my mom from place to place.

I purchased this belt to help assist my dad transitioning from his wheelchair to a standing position.

This has been a good gait belt and I like the fact that it is a little shorter than the normal belts. I need the belt for assisting my wife and her old belt had too much left over after securing it through the buckle. This one is a much better fit for her.
