Good in concept...
Good in concept but did not work for our door handles unfortunately because our handles can be opened by lifting the handle upward, also realized another issue...if your door will automatically latch if pulled without turning the lever, there's a risk that you could either get locked out or your kid could get locked in so it always has to be disengaged if you are not on the side of the door in which the lock is engaged, otherwise you will have to unscrew your door handle to get inside. I had to take it off and it took off some of the paint, though I think like with other 3M adhesive if you heat it with a blow dryer, it may come off easier/more gently.

Not locked...push up!
These handles can sometimes open up or down. This lock can only block in one direction. Also not easy to open by an adult. They are adult proof.

Inexpensive locks that seems to work well
I really like these locks but I had to remove one star because they can jam. One of the six was jammed such as the red/green (locked/unlocked) indicator was half and half. I couldn’t move the mechanism at all. My so -in-law tried it and finally got it to snap loose. Now it works fine. However, had it been on the door (I found the problem right out of the box), he wouldn’t have been able to fix it without ripping it off the door. It took me a little practice to get them to work. Locking is easy. You simple squeeze the sides and pull up. Unlocking took a little practice. I found placing my index finger on the button, squeezing with two other fingers and pushing down unlocks it. My doors are also paneled so I had to angle the lock as opposed to vertical so it could have the most amount of stuck surface area. I’ve attached a picture to better explain. Even in this configuration the locks work well.

Great if you don't want to use the door!
We were excited to get these and put them into use. We had to good sense to test them out before attaching them to our doors and I’m thankful we did. Strangely it takes much less effort to unlock the things than it does to lock them, which does not really make any sense to me. All you have to do is squeeze the two sides to unlock it which is manageable and mostly easy but to lock it again you have to use the button and squeeze the sides which are almost impossible to do one-handed. Technically I guess you could flip the thing upside down before you stick it, but then it is going to be just as hard to unlock.Personally, I feel like most child lock stuff needs to be one-handed as you are most likely going to be holding a baby or toddler while you are trying to use it. They do have the 3M adhesive on the back and it is a pretty long area, so I’m sure it will stay in place very well. They just don’t quite seem user-friendly for us, unfortunately as we never were able to consistently lock it again without a decent amount of trouble.

Great for keeping Adults out too
I was so excited to have a way to keep my toddler out but also still have access to my pantry but I was met with immediate disappoint with this product.First if you have handles that can open the door by pushing up and down these will not work for you as this only prevents the handle from being pushed down.Second if your planning on opening your door frequently don't buy these, my husband can get them open but I have yet to successfully open one. To unlock the product requites you push the 2 side buttons and at the same time push the bottom button. That 3 button in total that must be pushed in and held while you slide the knob up. That is proved an impossible task for me to do in general but if I was holding something you will never get thorough the door using only one hand.Overall if you have a room that you never want to get into these will work great but if you as an adult would like to get through the door save yourself the headache and don't buy these!
