Great headlight, If you're willing to do a little work.
I bought this one and the passenger side. The lights themselves are well built and come with all bulbs and wiring harness. They don't fit 100% like an OEM, but perfectly for the at least $100 you save. Now to the bad part.Installation was simple plug and play, at least for the passenger side. The driver side went in fine, but the light was dim and would go out completely with the hi-beams on. Replaced all the bulbs, same problem. The issue must be with the light, so Amazon sent a replacement immediately (Go Amazon!). Got replacement in 2 days (on a Saturday, Go Amazon!), worked great for 1 day until I hit a bump and the headlight went out. Got out the car knocked on the headlight and it came back on. Pulled in my driveway, and now the lights were dim. Same issue as the first one. So I begin to troubleshoot. After a quick Google, I found this issue can be caused by a faulty ground wire. I got out the multimeter and began testing continuity on the wires (disconnect all bulbs first). Everything was testing fine, so I dug a little deeper. There are actually 2 wiring harnesses for this headlight. The first is the one that connects to the car. This runs to the small bulbs (turn signal, daytime lighs, hazards). This also a big connector that plugs into the harness on the inside of the headlight. That's what connects to the headlamp and hi-beam bulbs. Since those are the only ones with an issue, the issue must be with the second internal harness. So I unplugged the main harness from the other and that's when I saw it. There are three pins coming from the secondary internal harness that plug into the main harness connector (2 powers for the lamps, and one ground). The ground pin was not seated properly and would push in when connecting the main harness. So now I found the problem, but how to fix it. I tried just pulling then pin back in, but it wouldn't stay firmly seated. Every time I reconnect the main it would push back in. I then had the idea of flipping it around, but my hand were to big to fit inside the light. I had to take out the secondary internal harness. To do so disconnect the main, and twist the secondary harness connector (clockwise I believe, but it pretty easy to tell). You will most likely need channel lock pliers to get a good grip on it. After that disconnect and remove the bulbs. Then unscrew the metal plate around where the hi-beam connects, and the harness should come out pretty easily. Then flip the pin and put it back in it slot. Try reconnecting and disconnecting the main harness a few times to make sure it stays, and then put it back together. So it took me a few hours and a replacement headlight, but I saved about $250 total. Hopefully it was just a bad lot, since the passenger side one worked flawlessly.
