I never leave reviews, but for this I will. I started noticing what I thought was an allergic reaction on Sunday. Got worse on Monday. Tuesday I went to the dr. Was told I had a severe case of shingles. They are on the right side of my face, neck, back of head and in my hair. This is absolutely the worse pain I have ever had....and I'm a 46 year old man. Got the meds from the dr. Taking them religiously. Still was not helping with the pain. Blisters hurt and were numerous. Face was swollen. I was looking at Amazon for some kind of relief on Thursday night. Came across this. Looked at reviews as I always do before I purchase. Bought it and had it Friday. Put it on Friday night and 3 different times on Saturday. By Sunday, the blisters have disappeared and been replaced with the scabs to heal. This has worked quicker than I could have imagined.Couple of hints. Keep in the refrigerator. It makes it cool when it goes on so you get some relief there. Also, yes you can put it in your hair on your scalp.. That was one part that was really itching and burning. So I did and it helped. It just washed out. Also, I ordered the 8oz. Should have ordered the 4oz. You really don't need the 8. But it will work for other uses too. I want to definitely recommend this to anyone that has shingles. It won't help with your energy level for overall fatigue. But it helps with the blisters and burning and itching. The rest will have to run it's course. I am so glad I bought this.

I've had shingles 7 times since 2010!! (Too much stress!!) ) I've tried everything - Even had the vaccine, which prevented future attacks for a year & half -- until just recently, although this one is less severe. I've tried everything before, the Rx's and at least 10 different creams. With this recent bout of shingles I began researching again & found this product. Due to the positive reviews figured I'd try it -- not expecting any great success due to the other creams I've used in the past - But when you have shingles you're desperate to try anything for relief.I'm surprised & extremely grateful for this product! Within 24 hours I felt the burning & itching decreasing, Within 48 hours I noticed the shingles began shrinking!Normally it takes me about 3 weeks to move around without the "intense" pain -- Although I was aware the shingles were still there, within 4-5 days of using this cream they were no longer were impacting my day.In the past after the shingles dissipate I will have the red marks remain for almost a year. I will also have the nerve pain for at least 6 months. I truly don't know how this works but the red marks are also dissipating with the shingles (which is a first) & within just 2 weeks my nerve pain is minimal!Even with the outer layer of the shingles completely gone now I will continue to use this for the nerve sensation- until that is gone too.I hope this review & product will help another shingle sufferer, as it did for me. :)

Purchased for my fiancee. She had developed shingles on the side of her neck and face. She began applying the cream at the point that the blisters began to develop. Blisters dried up and swelling reduced within 2 days, pain was greatly reduce. she continued use until redness was gone, about two weeks later. She also had shingles on the back of her head under her hair where she was unable to apply the cream. She still had the rash there 6 weeks later, so I have to think the cream was very effective. I gave only 4 stars because we weren't sure if the cream could be used at all stages of the rash, as this wasn't addressed on the container or the manufacturers web page. We sent an email to the manufacturer to ask about this but received no response. We were concerned because many products state that use should be discontinued when the blister break and scab over, so we weren't sure if she was suppose to continue using the product.

I did not find this cream until 10 days into my Shingles outbreak. I started off slathering my body with high UMF Manuka Honey which I credit to a faster recovery along with two - three baths a day in Apple Cider Vinegar, Baking soda and Epsom salts. That worked extremely well and calmed the pain instantly but I needed a cream to soothe before putting clothes on. I also took various supplements. Cortisone cream and/or anti-itch lotions (I tried several) did not give me any relief at all. I love this cream. I applied it fresh twice a day and at night after my baths. It calmed down the pain, relieved the itch and now a few weeks later I have no scarring or visible signs of my shingles blisters. I really love it and highly recommend it. It has been about four weeks and sometimes I get a little bit of pain. I put this on and it stops it with in minutes.I have very sensitive skin and extremely allergic to any product that has fragrance. This cream is very gentle and soothing and a must if you are suffering from shingles. I love it.Note: "Aquasentials Easy Lotion Applicator" is a must to get the lotion on your back. I love the curve and the pad. These two products really helped ease my shingles outbreak.
