I appreciate Prynne's dedication to his craft. The work is tightly structured, and every word plays a function. It is elegant, but not simple. I cannot flatter myself by saying that I understand it, so I have trouble enjoying it. Rather than blame Prynne, I will wait a while, rereading the work, in faith that I will progressively derive more value as time goes on.

Poetic genius
Wow. Just wonderful. Prynne is a poetic genius.

Incomprehensible gibberish copy of American poetry
I heard a lot about the poet from the American poets, but nothing from Britain, that made me curious, I discovered this book and I did not like it because it is a sort of imitation of the same dry American style of poetry. Maybe he was keen to write differently. But it is hard to find anything of British tradition, that is not needed sometimes though, but for tasting American poetry an ordinary reader like me would go for American poets.
