No leashplug? No worries! To accommodate boards without leash plugs, the Cleat serves as an adapter by making a traditional fin box DOCKsLOCKs ready. The Cleat is made from marine grade stainless steel, so it is both strong and weather resistant. It is placed into the track of your fin box, either fore or aft of your fin, whichever end you never use. Didn't lock in Board
I have a 10'6" PSH PaddleBoard. These screws didn't lock in the fin box. After I turned the screw, someone could still remove the fin and slide this lock out of the fin box. Makes it a little "longer" time to steal and someone would need the screwdriver to take out the main fin of course, but it is still not how this should work.I do not doubt that it could work with other boards, but it just depends on your fin box construction.

Like DocksLocks but fin cleat screw is too short
I just got my DocksLocks system today and tried to install it. The system is simple and easy to use; however, the screw for the fin cleat is too short for my fin box. So I tightened the screw all the way and it still didn't hold in place. Like it says, it's a one-way screw so I needed to remove the screw with a vice grip pliers. I wish the screw was a bit longer so it would lock in my fin box. Good thing is I have a leash plug so I guess I'll be using that to lock my board. Other than that I would say the DocksLocks system is a good one.

Great product!
After having a board stolen off my patio this device has been my best friend. I also had a minor issue with the screw not being long enough but after I called DocksLocks direct they explained that they have longer screws for fin boxes like mine and sent me a new one for free! Great customer service from the manufacturer.
