Best Big and Tall Chair that Lasted 10 years for a 350-375 lbs 6'2" Person
Better late than never, right? I’m dropping this review a solid decade after buying this chair, and let me tell you, it’s been the MVP of my home office and gaming setup. I’m a 6’2”, 350-375 lb guy (give or take a few tacos over the years), and this chair has been my trusty steed through countless 12+ hour daily work-from-home marathons and epic PC gaming sessions.I snagged this beauty on Amazon 10 years ago for $310—happy birthday to it, by the way! It’s still kicking like a champ, though the armrest foam is starting to flake off like it’s auditioning for a dandruff commercial. My wife’s been side-eyeing those rough arms and nudging me to upgrade, but honestly, this chair’s still got it where it counts. I swapped in some inline wheels years ago, and even those are holding strong. The price has jumped to $532 now (thanks, inflation!), but if the next one lasts another decade, I’m not sweating it. For a big and tall guy like me, finding a chair that can handle the daily grind and still feel comfy is like finding a unicorn. I’m grabbing a replacement today, not because this one’s given up, but because it’s earned a well-deserved retirement. Here’s to another 10 years with its successor!

A rock solid chair that moves easily
I finally have a chair that fits my 6'4" nearly 400lb frame. This thing is solid. It doesn't rock side-to-side, and the arm rests don't pinch my legs. In spite of its solid, and very heavy (65lb) construction, it rolls across the floor very easily.Assembly was very easy. Pop in the casters, bolt on the armrests, frame, and back; finally set the lift cylinder in the caster assembly and put the seat on top of that. Done. I used the shipping box (turned upside down) as a narrow work bench. I laid the seat upside down on the box with the front facing away, and bolted everything on. The box was perfect for that and quite sturdy. Also during assembly you should note that There is a nice little tag on the bottom of the seat that says "front." I missed that initially until I had attached one of the arm rests. The screws and a hex key (allen wrench) are all on a flat cardboard backed package. The screws appear to have some thread lock compound on them which can make them a little difficult to turn. On one screw I nearly crossed the threads because the thread lock was all of the way down to the end of the screw. If you are a smaller person, or have low hand strength then you may have some difficulty tightening up the screws.I've found this chair to be very comfortable for all day use. My last char was slightly more comfortable in the seat, but was wobbly and pinched the outside of my legs. So overall I find this chair much more comfortable. And there's absolutely zero wobble. The angle of the back is also perfect for me, as it's nearly straight up. Most chairs, including other big/tall chairs make me feel like I'm lounging. This one supports my back in a position of good posture without causing back strain. Nor do I use the lumbar support (slides down and out of the way) but it's there if I need it. I feel more productive because of the back angle. Two caveats that I would like to note are;First, the arm rests are about a half inch too short for me. It's not much of an issue since I have my hands on the keyboard most of the time.Second, when you tilt the chair back, it does so by dropping the back down rather than rocking the entire seat back. I prefer the drop down, but others may prefer the rock back style.Overall I think that this chair seems well built, comfortable, and worth the money I paid for it. Of course, that will be influenced by how well it holds up in the coming years.

So Far...So Good...
The packaging was not great. Only the seat back and wheels and screws were in plastic bags. The rest were just left uncovered or unprotected (i.e. chair base, seat base, arms, etc.). There was small tears and scratches on the pieces (see pictures). It was all over the pieces to the point it made me think I have a used chair. Lastly, there was no allen wrench included, which the instructions stated would be.Once I found an allen wrench, the assembly was simple. You can adjust the height of the chair and width of the arms. It seems fine, but we will see if it can really hold my 300lb body (it is supposed to hold 450lbs). The model number on Amazon is different than on the Hon website (but most of the model number matches).

No More Pain!
I suffer from severe hip pain and need an office chair that won't aggravate it with prolonged use. After looking carefully online for about a year, I finally decided to make the painful trek to an office supply store to try them out for myself. I did find one type that seemed to work, but it wasn't heavy-duty enough for me. I was concerned about the hydraulic lift system being durable over time. So I was looking for a chair with about a 50-to-100-pound weight allowance over what I needed (250-plus). I decided to continue my search online, now having an idea of what might be ideal for me. During my online search, I kept coming back to this chair by Hon which seemed to have decent enough reviews throughout the web. It's design also seemed closest to the one chair that was comfortable to me when I was looking at the office supply store. I really hadn't planned to spend so much, but this chair had everything I needed. So I bit the bullet and ordered it. Wow, what a difference! Since buying it back in June 2021, I haven't had the severe hip pain that I suffered almost every waking moment! And I sit in this thing up to 10 hours at a time. After that, it starts to get uncomfortable for me, but not painful.I can't speak on how easy the assembly is, since my brother-in-law put it together for me. But he seemed to have it assembled in no time and had no trouble with it. He's a strong guy and he was able to do it alone. He adjusted it for me, and I haven't had to change those adjustments. I guess in all it took much less than an hour, maybe less than a half hour.If you're looking at a chair in this price range, you're looking to make an investment in a comfortable quality product that will hopefully last for some time. From my experience over these past 2 months, this chair hasn't disappointed me.
