good for low budget with some firmware issues and bad customer support.
i purchased 3 24 port and 3 48 ports for a student lab.pro:4 core cpu at 1.2ghz. best so far at this price range.2x 10gb ports to connect with other switches or your 10gb devices.24x poe ports with 350 watts of power.the case is short so lots of space on the back of the rack or for a small in home wall unit.nice GUI web interface for beginners.can manage each port individually, great for rebooting that crappy poe phone/device.fans spin down when little traffic. cant hear them usually after 5pm.i had to leave 2 on in a room 120f room for about a month, then they got struck by lightning due to spectrum not grounding their lines, they have gotten wet (rain, soda, coffee, ect..), fallen from the rack while the students are screwing them in, plugging and unplugging all sorts of things into the ports. amazed one has not died yet.Bad:Too pricey for what it does. maybe cuz pandemic.......wont save config once you do firmware updates, took me 4 switches to figure this out.poe is not enabled by default and on 3 occasions of power loss, it defaults back to its original config with all poe ports off.HP support is slow and frustrating.Bottom line:aside for the damn lost config situations (maybe it will get fixed in firmware update in which you will lose your config anyway) these are great for a small business/harsh environments.if you a pro go with the hpe 2530s. (no lost config and more management options)if you a beginner go with the meraki go or Netgear cloud switches. (apps are all the raves these days)
