Placement is Key
I brought these to kit out my house having seen a lot of negative reviews; in all honesty hoping the sensitivity issues were resolved / unfounded. Unfortunately it is not a myth fully busted.tl;drPlacement height is very important. The long answer:Being of the type that only reads instructions if it doesn't do what I want it to do I set about putting the sensors where the old sensors were mounted - thinking the person before me was competent enough to put them there for good reason. Initial testing showed that my short but broad frame was not able to set it off regardless of my dance moves. Darn, I was going to need to return it. It was then that I turned to the manual and found two things:1) Sensitivity:I increased the sensitivity - though admittedly I am not certain this helped. If you open the sensor there are two plastic pieces in the lower right that are over metal pins sticking out of the board. Move the one on the right (Jumper 3) so it is no longer over just one pin, but is over both metal pins.2) Placement:There is a handy diagram that shows the blind spot of the sensor. That diagram is for 1.9m, I had placed mine around 2.4m meaning the blind spot was even bigger. To top it off, if I moved backwards a few metres (out of the blind spot) the view of the sensor was obscured by a kitchen cabinet. Once I moved the sensor down (closer to 1.9m) I got much better results. What this means is I can't necessarily put all of the sensors at the same height since it depends on where I need to blind spot to be.As for the rest of the system. I would say it is pretty easy to setup and use. Once the initial faff to set it up is over I am sure we will be very happy with it.

Superb system. Wireless alarms have come on leaps and bounds.
2 rabbits and 1 cat in the house and the alarm system does not alarm on them moving around. I know this because I've watched the cat moving around the house on CCTV. It most certainly alarms on seeing us straight away; 6' 2" and my wife 5' 2". I have no idea why others have said the opposite but I followed the instructions, registered it with the hub and mounted it at the right height and BINGO! Perfect. I have tested it repeatedly and it works every time as advertised. 23 November '17 update. We've not had one false alarm since installation. But, I hear you say, is it actally working? We can testify that it does as we have walked through to an alarmed room, half asleep, without deactivating it. Oh, it works! The fact that that room also had animals in it while activated and didn't go off proves 100% it works as advertised. The peace of mind is wonderful. The fact also that notifications are sent to your phone each time the alarm system is turned on and off is fantastic. I can turn the system on and off from said phone anywhere in the world (although sadly the furthest distance I've done it from is 16 miles away) turning it off when my neighbour goes in to feed our animals when we are away.Alarms in our modern world are most often ignored, but if my alarm does go off, I know about it immediately on my phone before a neighbour rings me. I can turn it off immediately, check the CCTV and reset if okay. I can disable the external siren if need be from anywhere.Love this system.

Really a massive waste of time.
After reading several mixed reviews i gave these pir's a go. I have several non pet friendly pir's installed which work perfecy but these however are absolutly pathetic. I could walk past , jump and run past them and still not trigger them let alone my pug. I could have a st bernard and an irish wolf hound running around my living room and not trigger them . Have just sent tbese pir's back. My ideas for the future is to put the yale window and door catches on all the access points and give up on the pir's where my dog strolls around .Fyi i would never write a review just these are proper load of rubbish

Bought Three. None of them worked.
This simply doesn't work. It's mounted correctly at a height of approximately 2m and i literally have to wave my hand less than 10cm from the front of it to get a response. I bought three of them and all three are as bad. This system was purchased on the basis of having a pet-friendly sensor. I will be sending it all back

Takes a lot to set off
Read some other reviews and they're all accurate - I installed this and I struggle to set it off.Reassuring to know that the dog won't inadvertently set off this motion detector, but I think I would have liked it to be a bit more sensitive to people.
